Apply & track with Apply EdgeChief Financial OfficerPosition OverviewA mission-driven healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead its financial strategy, accounting operations, and overall fiscal management. This executive will partner closely with the CEO and leadership team to ensure financial stability, responsible growth, regulatory compliance, and effective use of organizational resources.The CFO will oversee the organization’s accounting, revenue cycle, payroll, purchasing, budgeting, financial reporting, and related functions. This position requires a strategic financial leader who is also comfortable operating hands-on, making independent decisions, and working in a complex healthcare and nonprofit environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute long-term financial strategies, forecasts, and capital plans that support organizational growth and sustainability.Lead the annual budgeting process and work closely with the CEO and leadership team to establish financial goals and operating plans.Prepare and present monthly financial statements, management reports, forecasts, and financial updates to executive leadership and the Board of Directors.Oversee financial reporting for multiple clinics and provide leadership with meaningful analysis of financial and operational performance.Ensure financial reporting complies with GAAP, nonprofit accounting standards, and applicable healthcare requirements.Establish and maintain strong internal controls designed to protect organizational assets, mitigate financial risk, and improve operational efficiency.Lead the annual audit process, tax filings, internal audits, and other external financial reviews.Oversee the organization’s revenue cycle, including billing, collections, reimbursement, and payer performance.Monitor reimbursement from Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance, and other third-party payers to ensure appropriate and timely payment for services.Oversee participation in insurance and reimbursement programs and evaluate payer arrangements to ensure financial sustainability.Manage financial policies and procedures with a focus on improving efficiency, cost control, and overall financial performance.Oversee financial aspects of organizational insurance programs, leases, property records, and related expenditures.Conduct internal reviews and audits to evaluate financial controls, record accuracy, and compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.Provide financial oversight of the organization’s 340B Program, ensuring appropriate controls, reporting, and compliance.Lead and develop teams responsible for accounting, payroll, purchasing, revenue cycle, and other finance-related functions.Partner with the CEO and senior leadership on financial strategy, operational decisions, resource allocation, and organizational initiatives.Provide financial guidance and analysis that supports clinic-level decision-making and overall organizational performance.
