Chief Financial Officer

A Non-Financial Services Firm is seeking an experienced professional to join their team as the Chief Financial Officer.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain a rolling three-month cash flow forecast and financial outlook.Oversee the monthly financial close, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.Manage accounts receivable and collections, strengthening processes to improve cash flow.Lead accounting and finance staff, including hiring, training, and developing the team.Establish and improve financial controls, reporting processes, and operating procedures.Partner with ownership and leadership on financial planning, budgeting, and business decisions.Deliver clear financial reports and analysis to help ownership assess performance and priorities.Identify opportunities to improve profitability, cash management, and operational efficiency.Strengthen working capital management and anticipate funding needs to reduce unexpected cash shortfalls.Manage financial risk and debt financing needs while supporting long-term business growth.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.12–20 years of relevant accounting and finance experience, including CFO-level leadership.Proven ability to build a finance department, establish processes and controls, and hire and develop an accounting team.Experience owning the full cash cycle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections, and daily cash management.Ability to develop and maintain a rolling 13-week cash flow forecast and anticipate funding needs.Demonstrated success improving collections and working capital to reduce unexpected cash shortfalls.Experience managing financial risk and debt financing while supporting long-term growth.Willingness to remain hands-on with daily accounting and finance responsibilities.CPA preferred.
