For more than 30 years, we have supplied quality frames, trusses and hardware to builders across Southeast and Central Queensland, with customers from Bundaberg to Ballina.As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced CFO to bring discipline, clarity and commercial insight to how we run the business.What you’ll be doingReporting to the General Manager and Directors, you will own the financial position of King Truss – reporting it accurately and on time, actively protecting cash, stock, margin and trade credit, and giving the management team clear, decision-ready advice.Your work will include:Delivering accurate monthly management accounts and closing month-end on timeOwning statutory and tax compliance Building the annual budget with department leaders, analysing performance and reforecasting through the year Managing cashflow, working capital, banking, inventory valuation and trade creditProducing decision-ready board reporting with forward-looking recommendationsLeading a small accounts team and lifting financial literacy across the businessStrengthening internal controls, managing financial risk and improving finance systemsAbout youYou are an experienced finance leader who brings:CA or CPA membership and a degree in accountingProven experience as a CFO or senior Financial Controller, with strong budgeting, forecasting and board-level reportingSound knowledge of Australian tax and reporting obligationsReal experience managing cash, working capital, stock and trade credit riskStrong ERP and advanced Excel, Power BI or similar skillsThe people skills to build relationships across the business – and the fortitude to hold peers accountable for their commitmentsReliability, initiative and genuine ownership of your workExperience in the timber, hardware or building supplies industry will be well regarded, but is not essential for the right person.
