Job Title: Chief Financial Officer – Manufacturing & Plant Operations | CA | 10+ yrsLocation: Remote Factory Site (Local Candidate Preferred)Employment Type: Full-Time | On-SiteContract Term: Long-Term (Minimum 5-Year Agreement)About the Role:We are seeking a highly experienced and self-driven Chartered Accountant (CA) with a strong background in manufacturing finance and cost accounting to join our organization as an Industrial Chartered Accountant. This is a critical leadership role responsible for managing the entire financial, accounting, costing, budgeting, and internal audit functions from our factory location. The role demands a proactive finance professional who can contribute to strategic decisions, financial discipline, and sustainable cost management practices across the organization.The ideal candidate must have an excellent command over ERP software, financial projections, statutory compliance, product-level costing, internal auditing across departments, and finalisation of accounts. Candidates must be from the local region or willing to work full-time from a remote factory location, with a long-term career commitment of a minimum of five years.Key Responsibilities:1. Financial Accounting & ReportingLead the complete financial accounting process and ensure accuracy and integrity of books of accounts.Finalisation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements including Profit & Loss Account, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statements in compliance with Indian GAAP and applicable accounting standards.Preparation of timely and insightful MIS reports for management decision-making.Regular reconciliation of all ledgers including vendor, customer, inventory, and bank accounts.Preparation and submission of reports for audits, internal and statutory.2. Costing & Manufacturing FinanceEstablish, maintain, and continuously refine the costing systems and structures tailored to manufacturing operations.In-depth analysis of cost of production including raw materials, packaging materials, direct and indirect labor, power, fuel, and overheads.Implement product-wise cost sheets, profitability analysis, and cost control mechanisms.Conduct standard costing vs actual costing reviews and highlight inefficiencies or leakages.Partner with the production and procurement departments to drive cost optimization initiatives.3. Budgeting & Financial PlanningPrepare annual and quarterly budgets in coordination with functional departments.Analyze budget variances and provide commentary to senior management.Provide financial projections for expansion plans, working capital needs, and other strategic investments.Contribute to business planning activities through robust financial models and forecasting techniques.4. Internal Audit & Risk ManagementEstablish a structured and continuous internal audit system covering all critical departments (Production, Stores, Procurement, Sales, HR, etc.).Identify operational and financial risks and ensure mitigation strategies are implemented.Conduct regular audits to ensure policy compliance, process efficiency, and internal control effectiveness.Report audit findings to senior management along with recommendations for improvement.5. ERP & Digital Finance IntegrationAct as finance lead for ERP software implementation and maintenance.Ensure that financial and cost data are accurately captured in the ERP system.Work with ERP vendors and internal IT teams to streamline financial reporting, inventory control, billing, and budgeting modules.Drive digitization of financial processes and promote data-driven decision-making.6. Banking & Financial Institution LiaisonPrepare CMA reports, business plans, and financial projections required for bank proposals.Manage working capital facilities, term loans, and credit limits.Ensure compliance with bank covenants and timely submission of required documents.Liaise with banks and financial institutions for negotiations, renewals, and documentation.7. Taxation & Regulatory ComplianceEnsure timely and accurate filing of GST, Income Tax, TDS, and other statutory returns.Handle assessments, audits, and queries from tax and regulatory authorities.Coordinate with external consultants and statutory auditors.Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and advise management on impact and compliance.8. Strategic Contribution & LeadershipAct as a key financial advisor to the management on all major business decisions.Participate in policy formulation, business planning, and strategic discussions.Support in M&A evaluation, capital investment planning, and product profitability analysis.Build and mentor the finance and accounts team and develop a strong second line of leadership.Candidate Profile:Educational Qualification:Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).Experience:Minimum 10 - 15 years of post-qualification experience in finance and accounts, preferably in a manufacturing or FMCG environment.Strong hands-on exposure to cost accounting, product costing, budgeting, and bank financing.Experience in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Tally ERP, or similar platforms) is a must.Proven ability to handle internal audits, finalisation of accounts, and cross-functional collaboration.Skillset & Attributes:Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.High level of integrity, discipline, and self-motivation.Strong command over Excel, MS Office, ERP tools, and financial modeling.Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.Ability to work independently from a factory setup and drive financial discipline across departments.Preferred Background:Local candidates or those willing to relocate to the factory location permanently.Must be willing to work full-time from the factory premises (not a part-time or hybrid role).Candidate should be willing to sign a minimum 5-year employment agreement to ensure continuity, system stability, and long-term growth.Compensation & Benefits:Attractive remuneration package commensurate with experience and industry standards.Performance-based incentives and annual appraisals.Accommodation or relocation assistance may be provided if required.Opportunity to be part of the core leadership team contributing to long-term business growth.Commitment to Growth:We are committed to building a strong finance backbone for our expanding business.
