Chief Financial Officer | Scaling Marketplace Business | Amsterdam with weekly International Travel

The ClientHarmonic Executive is delighted to be exclusively retained to appoint a Chief Financial Officer for a high-growth, VC-backed marketplace business generating over €200m in annual revenue.The company has built a strong international presence and is entering its next phase of growth. Working alongside an experienced CEO, Board and investors, the incoming CFO will play a central role in shaping the strategic direction of the business.The OpportunityReporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Financial Officer will join the executive leadership team, providing strategic financial leadership and overseeing a finance function of over 20 people.This is a broad, commercially-minded role. Given the international nature of the business, the role requires weekly international travel which can be outlined more clearly at interview stage. The CFO will help drive better decision-making through financial insight, robust planning and disciplined execution.Key ResponsibilitiesPartner with the CEO, Board and shareholders to support the long-term strategic direction of the business.Lead and develop the finance function, ensuring strong financial governance, reporting and operational excellence.Own budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and scenario modelling to support informed decision-making.Provide commercial insight to support investment decisions, business performance and resource allocation.Travel internationally on a weekly basis to build relationships with regional leadership and support alignment across the business.Continue to strengthen financial controls, systems and reporting across the organisation.Develop meaningful management information and performance reporting for executive and Board stakeholders.What We Need to SeeProven experience as a CFO or senior finance leader within a marketplace, two-sided platform, consumer technology or SaaS business.Experience operating as a senior finance leader within a business of comparable scale, €200m+ revenue with the financial and commercial complexity that comes with it.Comfort and willingness to travel internationally on a weekly basis.Strong stakeholder management skills, with confidence engaging Boards, investors and executive leadership teams.Desirable ExperienceExperience operating within a global business, with exposure to international finance operations.Prior experience preparing a business for exit or IPO, with the credibility to engage investors and acquirers through a significant value-creation event.The DetailsPackage: Competitive salary, bonus and equity.
