COMPANY: Leading Private HospitalDESIGNATION: Chief Human Resources OfficerPACKAGE: Open to discussLOCATION: Colombo, Sri LankaOVERVIEW:Our client is a leading private hospital seeking for Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) who will provide strategic leadership for the organization’s people agenda, aligning human capital strategy with overall business objectives and long-term growth. The role will lead the development and execution of progressive HR strategies covering talent acquisition, organizational development, performance management, employee engagement, leadership development, succession planning, compensation and benefits, and HR transformation.The CHRO will work closely with the Group CEO, Executive Leadership Team, and business leaders to build a high-performing, engaged, and future-ready workforce while strengthening organizational culture and leadership capabilities.RESPONSIBILITIES:1.Strategic HR LeadershipDevelop and execute the Group’s overall HR strategy in alignment with business goals and growth plans.Act as a strategic advisor to the CEO and Executive Leadership Team on people, organizational, and culture-related matters.Lead HR transformation initiatives to build a modern, agile, and high-performing organization.Develop HR policies, frameworks, and governance standards across the organization.2.Talent Management & Organizational DevelopmentDevelop robust talent management and succession planning strategies for critical roles.Establish leadership development frameworks to build a strong internal leadership pipeline.Drive workforce planning and organizational capability development in line with future business requirements.Identify and implement initiatives to attract, develop, and retain high-performing talent.3.Performance & CultureLead the development and implementation of performance management frameworks linked to business objectives.Drive a high-performance culture with clear accountability, productivity, and measurable outcomes.Champion employee engagement, organizational culture, and employee experience initiatives.Develop strategies to strengthen retention and employee satisfaction across the organization.4.Talent Acquisition & Employer BrandingProvide strategic direction for talent acquisition and workforce planning.Build effective talent pipelines for critical and specialist positions.Strengthen the organization's employer brand and employee value proposition.Introduce innovative approaches to sourcing, assessing, and retaining talent.5.Compensation, Benefits & HR GovernanceOversee compensation and benefits strategies to ensure competitiveness, internal equity, and alignment with business objectives.Ensure compliance with applicable employment legislation and regulatory requirements.Establish effective HR governance, policies, procedures, and risk management practices.Partner with Finance and business leadership on workforce costs, manpower budgets, and productivity.6.HR Transformation & TechnologyDrive the digital transformation of HR processes and employee services.Leverage HR technology, analytics, and people data to support evidence-based decision-making.Develop and monitor HR dashboards and people metrics to measure organizational performance.Identify opportunities to improve HR efficiency, automation, and employee experience.7.Employee Relations & EngagementFoster positive employee relations and ensure effective resolution of workplace matters.Establish initiatives that promote employee wellbeing, engagement, inclusion, and organizational commitment.Work closely with leadership teams to address organizational challenges and strengthen communication.8.Leadership & Stakeholder ManagementLead and develop the HR leadership team and broader HR function.Build strong partnerships with senior management and business unit leaders.Represent the organization in relevant professional, industry, and HR forums.Drive cross-functional collaboration and organizational change initiatives.PRE - REQUISITES:Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or a related discipline.A postgraduate qualification or professional qualification in HR/People Management, Business Management, or a related field will be an added advantage.Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, with significant experience in senior HR leadership roles.Proven experience in developing and executing Group/enterprise-level HR strategies.Strong experience in organizational transformation, talent management, leadership development, succession planning, and performance management.Experience in a service-sector organization is essential/preferred.Experience within the hospital, healthcare, pharmaceutical, hospitality, financial services, retail, or other large-scale service industries will be an added advantage.Demonstrated experience working closely with CEOs, Boards, and Executive Leadership Teams.Strong understanding of employment legislation, HR governance, and organizational risk.Proven ability to lead HR transformation and manage large, diverse teams.
