Our mission is to deliver excellence in commercial lending, leasing, and banking services while maintaining a strong focus on growth and client success.About the Role - The Chief Information Officer (CIO) reports to the CEO and is responsible for establishing the Bank’s technical vision and leading all aspects of the company’s technology development. The CIO is the company’s top technology executive, playing an integral role in the Bank’s strategic direction, development, and future growth. The CIO is responsible for managing the Bank's technology resources and support facilities, local, wide, wireless, Internet, and Intranet networks, telephone, and all related software programs. CIO plans, organizes, and controls the Bank's day-to-day IT resource activities, and collaborates with the important stakeholders. CIO ensures the Bank's environment is secure and stable, commensurate with the best interest of shareholders, customers, employees, and the public and that it meets all regulatory requirements outlined by the FDIC and UDFI. Functions reporting to the CIO include help desk support, data analysis, Internet banking, information technology, cybersecurity, IT strategic partnerships, special projects, IT risk, vendor management, vendors, and contractors, and other technology functions. CIO develops and implements IT architecture strategies to accommodate current and future organizational needs. The position of CIO performs supervisory duties of department staff and coordinates staff for coverage in all related areas of the department & assists in attaining established Bank operational and financial goals.What You'll Be Doing -The CIO will chair the Technology Committee and report its findings and recommendations to Executive Leadership for action.Manage internal IT personnel as well as external IT contractors and their related roles and responsibilities.Manage system upgrades and updates.Manage organization, communication, and reporting for all IT projects to Management and the Board.Coordinate employee information systems training (including hardware and software training)Responsible for the oversight of the entire IT environment of the Bank.Acts as the primary point of contact with auditors and regulators related to technology reviews, organizes and provides required documentation and technical material including issue resolution.Oversee the development and implementation of systems and procedures designed to monitor goals and objectives for all Management Information Systems. These include but may not be limited to: Business Continuity, Vendor Management, various risk assessments, incident response, record retention and document imaging.Establish and maintain the Bank’s technology governance framework, including IT risk reporting, key performance indicators, key risk indicators, technology roadmap updates, budget performance, cybersecurity posture, vendor risk updates, and material technology initiatives for Executive Leadership and Board oversight.Maintain effective IT service management practices, including help desk performance, incident management, problem management, change managementOversee governance of artificial intelligence and automation initiatives, including acceptable use, vendor review, data protection, security review, ethical use, regulatory considerations, and alignment with Bank policy.Participate in developing the bank’s strategic plan, translating objectives into action plans, and monitoring progress.Develop and maintain overall framework of IT policies, assessments, standards, and strategies that will empower business and people to deliver on their commitments to the strategy and budgets.Responsible for shifting banking operations to cloud and modern technologies and provide a reduction in cost of operations by leveraging the digital shift.Oversee the Vendor Management functions of the organization.Oversight of logical and physical security and access to bank resources.Oversight of perimeter security, including IPS, IDS, FW, web filtering, and VPN access.Oversight of a high-availability environment, including redundancy, backups, and third-party BC/DR plansSupport the Strategic Partnership Business in overseeing due diligence reviews on new fintech partners and in supporting ongoing IT oversight and monitoring of these relationships.Maintain competitive advantage over peers on digital banking and leveraging the Digital Ecosystem.Direct the optimization of the technology network in a manner it delivers high efficiency with enough resilience and manage costs effectively.Identify needs and ensure ideal software solutions are developed or implanted in a timely manner to help increase operational efficiency and leading-edge products.As part of business continuity management, ensure that there are controls and plans in place to minimize the potential impact of failure in business operations. Additionally, ensure that appropriate BC\DR plans are in place and regularly tested for readiness for unforeseen and unexpected events which can impact business continuity.Manage the teams and vendors who identify security threats. Direct the formulation of strategies and methods to mitigate the threats.Developing long-term IT plans to sustain and support the business, anticipating future trends.Lead strategic insight and overview of business case justifications and ROI analysis for IT spending and initiatives.Responsible for the analysis, acquisition, installation, modification, performance monitoring, support, and improvement of server, network, and storage infrastructures.Manage and oversee the building and support of physical and virtual Windows servers.Manage the support and enhancement of Active Directory accounts and group policies and Entra AD.Provide guidance in designing and upgrading enterprise IT environments for the Bank including cloud and AI initiatives.Oversee planning, scheduling and administration of server, email, and Active Directory backups and restores.Oversee the planning and implementation of server upgrades, maintenance fixes, and vendor-supplied patches.Support the team which provides primary support of Microsoft Office 365 Azure environments and related infrastructure and assist when needed.Direct the monitoring, analyzing, and troubleshooting of server performance (e.g., server event logs).Update and maintain documentation as it relates to network and server configuration, mapping, processes, and service records.Oversee the monthly security updates are tested and deployed as outlined in the banks patch management program.Deploy new applications and enhancements to existing applications, software, and operating systems.Plan and participate in business continuance and disaster recovery testing.Conduct research on software and hardware products and justify recommendations to support purchasing efforts.Oversee help desk support team with resolution of application, hardware, connectivity issues.Oversee Asset Management functions.Qualifications and RequirementsBS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Technology related field or 15 years’ experience in IT field with 7 in an executive-level position, out of which 5 years in banking / financial sector. Graduate Degree preferred.Academic experience with exposure in participating in seminars, conferences, research publications representing the organization.10+ years’ progressive experience in all aspects of IT including managerial, planning, budgeting and organizational skills.
