Chief Information Officer (CIO)

Role Description The Chief Information Officer (CIO) is a part-time, remote role responsible for leading the organization’s overall information technology vision and execution. The CIO will oversee IT operations, ensure systems reliability and security, and align technology initiatives with business objectives. Daily tasks include developing and refining IT strategy, evaluating and implementing technology solutions, optimizing business processes through technology, and managing relationships with vendors and key stakeholders. The CIO will collaborate with executive leadership to support digital transformation, establish IT governance and policies, and monitor performance metrics to drive continuous improvement. This role also involves risk management, budget oversight for IT initiatives, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.Qualifications Strong foundation in Information Technology and IT Operations, with experience overseeing infrastructure, systems, and security.Proven experience in IT Management, including leadership of cross-functional teams and vendor management.Demonstrated ability in IT Strategy and Business Process optimization to align technology with organizational goals.Experience defining and implementing IT governance frameworks, risk management practices, and compliance standards.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical topics in clear business terms.Track record of leading digital transformation or major technology initiatives in a senior leadership capacity.Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CIO, ITIL, PMP, CISSP) are beneficial.Ability to work effectively in a remote, part-time capacity, managing priorities and collaborating across time zones.
