Prospective portfolio companies and members can engage through the organization’s website at fhangels.org.Role Description The Chief Information Officer (CIO) is a full-time, remote leadership role responsible for developing and executing the organization’s overall information technology strategy in alignment with business objectives. The CIO will oversee IT operations, including infrastructure, security, data management, and system integration, ensuring reliable and scalable technology support for investment activities, portfolio management, and internal processes. This role involves evaluating and implementing digital tools and platforms that enhance analytics, reporting, collaboration, and decision-making across the organization and its network. The CIO will work closely with senior leadership to identify technology-driven business process improvements, manage IT budgets and vendor relationships, and ensure compliance with relevant data protection and cybersecurity standards. The successful candidate will lead and mentor IT staff or external partners, promoting a culture of innovation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.Qualifications Strong foundation in Information Technology and IT Operations, with experience overseeing infrastructure, security, and systems administration.Demonstrated expertise in IT Management, including team leadership, vendor management, budgeting, and governance.Proven ability to define and execute IT Strategy that supports organizational goals and enables data-driven decision-making.Experience in Business Process analysis and optimization, using technology to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.Background in investment, healthcare, life sciences, or technology-driven organizations is highly beneficial.Advanced knowledge of cybersecurity, cloud solutions, data analytics, and enterprise software tools.Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote, distributed environment.Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) is a plus.
