On the buy side, Red Square Vietnam invests its own capital and actively serves on the boards of its portfolio companies. Red Square Vietnam is led by experienced business leaders and philanthropists, Principal Pham Duc Trung Kien and Managing Director Thang Nguyen.Role Description The Chief Information Officer (CIO) is a full-time, remote role responsible for setting and executing the overall information technology vision and strategy for Red Square Vietnam and its portfolio companies. This role oversees IT operations, infrastructure, and security to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable systems that support investment activities, advisory work, and startup incubation. The CIO will collaborate with senior leadership to align IT initiatives with business goals, optimize business processes through technology, and manage relationships with external vendors and service providers. Day-to-day responsibilities include leading IT teams, defining and maintaining IT policies and governance frameworks, overseeing system implementation and upgrades, monitoring performance and risk, and ensuring regulatory and compliance standards are met. The role also involves identifying emerging technologies that can enhance operational efficiency, data-driven decision-making, and competitive advantage across the firm’s investment and startup ecosystem.Qualifications Strong foundation in Information Technology, including enterprise systems, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and data management.Proven experience in IT Operations and IT Management, overseeing day-to-day IT functions, teams, and vendor relationships.Demonstrated ability in IT Strategy, aligning technology initiatives with business objectives and long-term growth plans.Experience optimizing Business Processes through technology, automation, and digital transformation.Progressive leadership experience in senior IT roles, ideally within investment firms, financial services, or technology-driven organizations.Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CIO, CISM, PMP) are an advantage.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to work remotely and collaborate across diverse teams and time zones.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business language.Experience working with
