By following AI for Fund Admin, industry professionals can stay ahead of the operating-model shift reshaping private markets and make informed decisions about technology, risk, and compliance.Role Description The Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) is a full-time, remote role responsible for defining and leading the information security strategy across AI for Fund Admin’s digital products, data assets, and internal operations. Day-to-day, the CISO will design and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures; oversee risk assessments; and ensure effective controls for data protection, secure development, and cloud infrastructure. This role will coordinate incident response, manage security monitoring, and lead investigations into potential threats, vulnerabilities, and breaches. The CISO will collaborate with engineering, product, and editorial teams to embed security and privacy by design, advise on secure AI usage and vendor management, and align security practices with relevant regulatory and industry frameworks. The position also involves leading security awareness initiatives, reporting on security posture to senior leadership, and continuously improving the organization’s resilience to emerging cyber risks.Qualifications Strong foundation in Information Security and Information Security Management, including policy development, risk governance, and security program leadership.Proficiency in Cybersecurity practices, such as threat modeling, vulnerability management, incident response, and security operations.Experience with Application Security, including secure software development lifecycle, code review, and integration of security tools in DevOps/DevSecOps workflows.Knowledge of Business Continuity planning and disaster recovery, with the ability to design and test resilience strategies for critical systems and data.Familiarity with security and privacy regulations and standards relevant to financial services and AI (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, data protection laws).Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a remote, cross-functional environment and communicate complex security topics in clear, actionable terms.Prior leadership experience in information security or related roles, ideally within technology, fintech, or data-intensive organizations.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; advanced certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CCSP are highly beneficial.
