Role SummaryWe are seeking a highly sophisticated, security-minded Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to design, implement, and orchestrate our comprehensive global cybersecurity strategy. Reporting directly to executive leadership, you will hold ultimate accountability for safeguarding the firm’s digital infrastructure, high-value proprietary financial data, proprietary systems, and communication networks against an evolving global threat landscape.This is a hybrid/remote position based in the United States (with a primary executive hub in New York City), offering the flexibility of remote work alongside structured, high-impact on-site collaboration and strategic engineering alignment.Key ResponsibilitiesCybersecurity Strategy & Leadership: Define and execute a modern, enterprise-grade information security roadmap tailored for a high-net-worth single-family office and its multi-entity ecosystem.Architecture & Zero-Trust Engineering: Architect and continually upgrade a robust zero-trust defense framework encompassing Identity & Access Management (IAM), secure endpoints (macOS/Linux), and highly secure communication channels (Signal, secure email, encrypted data rooms).Threat Detection & Incident Response: Overhaul and command 24/7/365 threat monitoring, security operations centers (SOC), incident detection frameworks, and rapid-response mitigation playbooks to address state-of-the-art cyber threats.Risk Governance & Compliance: Partner with Legal and Compliance teams to audit, enforce, and maintain institutional standards (e.g., SOC 2 alignment, ISO 27001, and advanced privacy parameters), performing rigorous quarterly cyber risk evaluations.Asset & Third-Party Diligence: Evaluate the cyber readiness and operational vulnerabilities of portfolio companies, external tech vendors, alternative asset managers, and cloud service providers prior to data integrations.Executive Advisory & Training: Act as the principal cyber security advisor to principles, board members, and senior executives, conducting mandatory high-touch security awareness drills and enforcing immaculate digital hygiene (e.g., physical hardware security keys/YubiKeys).Qualifications & SkillsExperience: 12–15+ years of progressive cybersecurity infrastructure and information security engineering experience, including 5+ years in a senior executive role (CISO, Deputy CISO, or Head of Security) within a tier-one investment bank, macro quantitative hedge fund, elite single-family office, or top-tier wealth management institution.Technical Mastery: Deep, expert-level understanding of cloud network security architectures (AWS, GCP), secure remote-work network perimeters (SASE, ZTNA, VPN topologies), and advanced cryptographic protocols.Incident Prowess: Proven track record of successfully managing high-severity incident responses, crisis-containment scenarios, and forensic analysis under intense executive-level pressures.Discretion & Judgment: Exceptional emotional intelligence and a spotless reputation for managing ultra-private, highly confidential family and financial data without exception.Certifications: CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CISM, or equivalent elite info-sec credentials are highly preferred.Education: Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity Engineering, Information Systems, or a related highly technical technical discipline.What We OfferHighly competitive executive base salary paired with performance-based discretionary bonus structures and performance incentives.Comprehensive premium medical, dental, and vision insurance packages.401(k) plan with generous company matching parameters.Dynamic, hybrid executive work culture with remote flexibility and access to modern prime office spaces.A rare opportunity to build out the structural defense paradigms for a world-renowned alternative investment and philanthropic ecosystem.
