Group Chief Information Security Officer (Group CISO)Location: Remote (Europe)Contract: Executive contractAnnual Package: €400,000–€500,000The OpportunityWe are exclusively partnering with a leading US Fortune 500 retailer to appoint a Group Chief Information Security Officer.With a substantial European footprint and global operations spanning digital and physical retail, the organisation is making a significant investment in its technology, cybersecurity and risk-management capabilities.This business-critical appointment offers the opportunity to shape and lead the organisation’s international security strategy at scale.Key ResponsibilitiesDefine and lead the group-wide cybersecurity and information-security strategy.Oversee security, risk and cyber-defence operations across international markets.Build, hire and scale high-performing teams comprising more than 70 professionals.Advise and maintain direct relationships with the CIO, board and senior internal stakeholders.Establish the global recruitment and operating model, including nearshore and offshore capabilities.Strengthen organisational resilience while supporting large-scale digital and physical retail operations.The Ideal CandidateYou will be an established security executive with experience:Leading cybersecurity or information-security functions within a large, complex international organisation.Building and transforming multidisciplinary security and risk teams at scale.Operating effectively at board and C-suite level.Developing global delivery models across onshore, nearshore and offshore locations.Balancing strategic leadership with the practical execution of major security-transformation programmes.PackageThe role offers a total annual package of €400,000–€500,000, alongside a remote working arrangement and significant autonomy to shape the organisation’s global security function.
