As the Group scales itsacademic footprint, pursues university status across campuses, and competes forstudents and faculty in an increasingly digital-first higher-education market, it iscreating a CITO role for its largest campus at Greater Noida, where the mandate isto build a modern, secure and unified technology backbone from the ground up.The RoleThe CITO will be the single executive owner of technology strategy, infrastructure,digital experience, academic technology, institutional data and cybersecurity acrossthe campus. This is fundamentally a builder’s mandate: The successful candidatewill spend the first 12 months establishing foundational systems and governancebefore layering on advanced digital and AI capability. The role carries full P&Laccountability for the IT budget and rationalize the multiple technology investmentsinto one coherent, scalable platform.Key Responsibilities• Technology strategy & roadmap: Author and own a 3–5 year campus ITroadmap aligned to academic growth, NEP 2020 and UGC/AICTE digital-infrastructure expectations; present progress to the Vice Chancellor’s office andBoard.• Core infrastructure & ERP/SIS: Lead selection and roll-out of a unified, cloud-first Student Information System / ERP, network and campus infrastructurestandardisation, and data-centre/cloud consolidation• Digital student & faculty experience: Build a phased, IILM-wide digital campusexperience (admissions, LMS, portals, mobile access) for Greater Noida withresponsibility for developing standards/platforms capable of subsequently beingadopted across the IILM Group —IILM’s own version of a unified “campus app”— sequenced to available budget and infrastructure maturity.• Data, analytics & AI: Stand up a data warehouse and reporting layer; introducegoverned, practical AI use cases for admissions, student support, facultyproductivity and administration, starting with high-ROI pilots moved toproduction.• Cybersecurity, risk & compliance: Modernize the university-wide information-security programme (identity management, data protection, incident response)meeting India’s Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023 andUGC/regulatory requirements.• Budget, vendor & team leadership: Own the IT budget; negotiate andrationalise vendor and cloud contracts; build, mentor and retain a lean, capableIT team.• Stakeholder & change leadership: Work closely with Deans Registrar, theCFO and the existing Digital function to drive adoption across academic andadministrative stakeholdersRequirements — Must-Have• 15+ years in progressively senior IT leadership roles, including at least 5 yearsas CIO / CTO / Head of IT (or in a role of equivalent scope) with full budget andteam ownership.• Demonstrated experience standing up or substantially modernising ITinfrastructure/ERP in— education, healthcare, BFSI, logistics or a comparableservice-sectors• A clear, verifiable, flagship digital-transformation project led end-to-end, withmeasurable business or institutional outcomes• Direct experience owning or building an information-security and data-governance programme• Is a hands-on person, not a manager only, without a technical point of view• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / IT / Engineering; a Master’s degree(MBA, MTech or equivalent) is requiredGood-to-Have• Prior exposure to the higher-education, ed-tech, or NEP 2020 regulatoryenvironment in India.• Hands-on (not merely pilot-stage) experience deploying applied/generative AI inan enterprise setting.• Experience building a technology function from a relatively lean starting base,rather than only managing an already-mature enterprise stack.• External recognition (industry awards, board/fellowship positions, publishedthought leadership) evidencing standing in the CIO/CTO community.What IILM Offers• A green-field mandate to build (not just run) a university technology function fromthe ground up.• Direct visibility and reporting line to the Vice Chancellor and Board.• A competitive, benchmarked compensation package plus performance-linkedbonus.• The opportunity to shape the digital future of a growing universityHow to ApplyInterested candidates should share their CV along with a short note (300–500 words)describing one technology transformation they led end-to-end and its measurableoutcome, to careers.gn@iilm.edu / apply via this posting.
