Chief Legal Officer

Role Description The Chief Legal Officer at Mad O Media is a part-time, hybrid role based in Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates, with flexibility for some work from home. This role oversees all legal matters, including reviewing, drafting, and negotiating contracts related to content production, brand partnerships, and vendor relationships. The Chief Legal Officer advises leadership on legal risks, regulatory compliance, intellectual property considerations, and policies that affect business operations. Day-to-day activities include providing clear legal guidance to internal stakeholders, managing external legal counsel when needed, and implementing corporate governance practices. The role also involves monitoring labor and employment law requirements, maintaining compliant documentation, and supporting the development of internal procedures that align with local and international legal standards.QualificationsStrong foundational expertise in Law, with the ability to interpret and apply relevant legal frameworks to media and content-related business activities.Proven experience handling complex Legal Issues and providing practical Legal Advice to leadership and cross-functional teams.Knowledge of Corporate Governance best practices, including policy development, risk management, and board-level reporting.Applied experience in Labor and Employment Law, particularly within the United Arab Emirates or similar jurisdictions.Advanced degree in Law (LLB/JD or equivalent) and admission to practice in a relevant jurisdiction.Experience in media, advertising, entertainment, or technology sectors is highly beneficial.Ability to communicate legal concepts clearly in writing and verbally to non-legal stakeholders.Demonstrated integrity, sound judgment, and the ability to make balanced, timely decisions in a fast-paced environment.
