The CMO will help shape clinical strategy, strengthen medical management and quality programs, and partner across the organization to improve access, outcomes, affordability, and the member experience.To be considered, candidates must bring significant health plan/managed care physician leadership experience, Medi-Cal and Medicare experience, and currently reside in Northern California.The Opportunity: As a member of the executive leadership team, the CMO will provide strategic and clinical leadership across the health plan, including:Medical management and clinical strategyUtilization management and care managementQuality improvement and population healthMedi-Cal and Medicare programs and populationsPhysician, provider, and network engagementMember outcomes, access, affordability, and experienceHealth equity and community-focused healthcare initiativesLeadership and development of physician and clinical teamsRequired qualifications include:Medical Doctor (MD) from an accredited medical schoolBoard Certified in a medical specialtyActive California medical licenseSignificant progressive health plan / managed care physician leadership experienceDirect experience with Medi-Cal populationsDirect experience with Medicare populationsStrong understanding of medical management, utilization management, quality, population health, and managed care operationsDemonstrated ability to collaborate with executive leaders, physicians, provider networks, and clinical teamsThis is an opportunity to take on a highly visible physician executive role with an organization focused on improving healthcare for communities throughout Northern California.Interested in learning more?Apply directly or reach out for a confidential conversation.
