Chief Medical Officer

QualificationMBBS from a recognized medical institution.Valid registration with Tamil Nadu Medical Council (TNMC) is mandatory.MD/MS or relevant postgraduate qualification will be an added advantage.ExperienceMinimum 8–10 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting.Prior experience in a senior medical leadership or administrative role is preferred.Experience as a Chief Medical Officer, Medical Superintendent, or Senior Medical Officer will be an added advantage.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee and coordinate the hospital's overall clinical and medical activities.Ensure high standards of patient care, clinical quality, and patient safety.Supervise and guide consultants, DMO/MO teams, and other medical staff.Monitor adherence to clinical protocols, hospital policies, and medical standards.Conduct regular clinical rounds and review critical and high-risk cases.Coordinate with department heads for smooth clinical operations.Handle clinical incidents, patient complaints, and medico-legal matters.Ensure proper maintenance of medical records and clinical documentation.Monitor clinical quality indicators and patient outcomes.Support NABH compliance, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.Coordinate emergency and critical-care services.Conduct clinical meetings, medical audits, and mortality/morbidity reviews.Support recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of medical staff.Maintain effective coordination between the medical team and hospital management.Ensure compliance with applicable medical, ethical, legal, and statutory requirements.Provide strategic medical guidance to management for improving hospital services.Key SkillsStrong clinical and medical leadership.Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Good knowledge of hospital administration and clinical governance.Ability to lead and manage multidisciplinary medical teams.Knowledge of NABH standards and healthcare regulations.Strong organizational and administrative abilities.Accommodation will be provided
