Easy Apply now by clicking the "Easy Apply" buttonand sending us your resume.Salary: $135,000 - $150,000 per yearA bit about us:We are representing an established 40-bed hospital in Norwood, Ohio seeking an experienced Chief Nursing Officer to lead nursing and several key clinical support functions across the organization.This is a highly visible executive leadership role overseeing approximately 10 direct reports, including nursing supervisors, a nurse manager, infection control, education, respiratory therapy, dialysis, and wound care.The hospital operates with a budgeted average daily census of approximately 35 patients and has an established, tenured senior leadership team.The organization is looking for a hospital-based nursing leader who can combine strong clinical judgment, operational discipline, staff leadership, regulatory readiness, and executive-level collaboration.Why join us?Competitive base salary of approximately $135,000-$150,000Executive-level leadership responsibility across nursing and multiple clinical departmentsLead an established nursing organization with experienced senior leadership supportManage a team that includes nurse supervisors, nursing management, education, infection control, respiratory therapy, dialysis, and wound careOpportunity to shape staffing, leadership development, clinical standards, and nursing operationsJoin a hospital with a strong need for experienced, hands-on nursing leadershipSignificant visibility with the CEO, HR leadership, senior leadership team, and regional nursing leadershipJob DetailsThe Chief Nursing Officer is responsible for the overall leadership, direction, and performance of nursing services and several related clinical departments.The role will oversee nursing operations, clinical quality, staffing, employee development, regulatory compliance, patient care standards, and interdisciplinary collaboration across the hospital.The current nursing structure includes four Nurse Supervisors, one Nurse Manager, and leaders across infection control, education, respiratory therapy, dialysis, and wound care.Nursing ratios are generally approximately 1:7-8 patients, adjusted based on patient acuity.The incoming CNO will also play an important role in regulatory readiness, with the hospital currently within its Joint Commission survey window.ResponsibilitiesProvide executive leadership for nursing and assigned clinical departmentsOversee approximately 10 direct reports across nursing and ancillary clinical functionsLead nursing operations, staffing, scheduling, productivity, and clinical performancePartner with the CEO and senior leadership team on hospital strategy and operational prioritiesMaintain high standards for patient safety, quality, regulatory compliance, and nursing practiceSupport Joint Commission readiness and ongoing accreditation standardsDevelop Nurse Managers, Nurse Supervisors, and emerging nursing leadersEvaluate staffing models, patient acuity, workforce needs, and nursing performanceCollaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary leaders to improve patient care and clinical outcomesDrive employee engagement, retention, accountability, and professional development across nursingQualificationsBachelor of Science in Nursing requiredMaster's degree requiredActive RN license or ability to obtain appropriate state licensureMinimum 5 years of experience within a hospital environmentMinimum 2 years of nursing management experienceDemonstrated success leading nursing teams in a hospital settingStrong understanding of hospital operations, staffing, quality, regulatory compliance, and patient safetyPrevious CNO, ACNO, VP, or Director-level nursing leadership strongly preferredInterested in hearing more?
