The CNO will partner with medical, clinical, therapeutic, quality, education, and operational leadership while overseeing nursing operations, staffing, patient-care standards, regulatory compliance, budgeting, and organizational performance.Why join us?Base compensation of $180,000-$200,000Executive ownership of hospital-wide nursing operations and patient-care qualityOpportunity to influence staffing, clinical standards, nursing programs, and hospital performanceCross-functional leadership exposure across medical, therapy, quality, infection control, education, ethics, and governance functionsMedical, dental, and vision coverage available from day oneTuition reimbursement and continuing education opportunitiesCompany-matching 401(k), employee stock purchase plan, and paid time offJob DetailsThe Chief Nursing Officer will provide executive leadership for nursing services throughout the hospital, ensuring nursing care, staffing, policies, regulatory standards, financial performance, and patient-care programs support high-quality clinical outcomes and hospital objectives.Responsibilities include: Lead hospital-wide nursing operations and maintain accountability for the quality of nursing care provided by staff Collaborate with medical, clinical, therapeutic, and operational leaders to support patient-focused care and hospital performance Develop and oversee patient-care programs, nursing policies, procedures, and standards Represent nursing leadership on committees including the Governing Body, Quality Council, Medical Executive, Infection Control, Education, and Ethics Committees Implement and maintain compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, state, hospital, and rehabilitation nursing standards Manage nursing staffing using patient acuity, staffing matrices, FTE requirements, and budgeted nursing hours per patient day Provide oversight of nursing budgets, staffing performance, employee accountability, and disciplinary processes Analyze clinical and operational data to develop programs that improve patient outcomes, manage illness, and reduce complicationsQUALIFICATIONS: Current RN license as required by Massachusetts regulations Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a related field, unless otherwise dictated by state regulation Advanced degree, plan to obtain an advanced degree, or demonstrated knowledge and skills associated with an advanced degree as required by the employer Minimum five years of experience in an inpatient hospital setting Minimum two years of recent nursing management experience within the past five years Nursing management experience must include 24-hour accountability, FTE management, policy/procedure oversight, budget responsibility, and disciplinary action Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred Commitment to obtaining CRRN certification within one year of becoming eligibleInterested in hearing more?
