Chief of IT / Head of IT

Location: Selangor, Malaysia | Senior LeadershipOur client, a leading organisation in the education sector, is looking for an experienced Chief Information Technology to lead its technology and digital transformation agenda.This is a strategic leadership position responsible for driving technology innovation, strengthening digital capabilities, and ensuring technology initiatives are aligned with the organisation’s long-term business objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the organisation’s overall IT, technology and digital transformation strategy.Oversee enterprise systems and digital platforms, including ERP, LMS, SIS, CRM, HR, Finance and other core business systems.Drive initiatives involving AI, automation, data and digital innovation.Develop and implement the organisation’s system integration, API and enterprise architecture roadmap.Oversee cybersecurity, IT governance, data governance, risk management and business continuity.Lead cloud, infrastructure, applications and IT service delivery to ensure reliable and scalable technology operations.Manage major technology projects, vendors and strategic technology partnerships.Work closely with senior management and key stakeholders to identify opportunities where technology can improve business and operational outcomes.Build and lead a high-performing technology team while promoting innovation and continuous improvement.Requirements8-10 years of experience in IT, technology, digital transformation or related fields, with strong leadership experience.Proven experience in a CIO, CIDO, CTO, IT Director or equivalent senior technology leadership role.Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture, cloud, cybersecurity, data, AI, digital platforms and system integration.Experience managing complex technology environments involving multiple systems, stakeholders or business units.Experience within education, higher education or a similarly complex organisation will be an advantage.Strong strategic thinking, stakeholder management and people leadership skills.Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
