Chief of Staff - Technology

We are partnering with a leading financial institution to appoint a Chief of Staff – Group Technology, working closely with the CIO to drive technology strategy, financial planning, investment governance and organisational performance.

Key Responsibilities

Lead annual technology business planning, budgeting and forecasting across a large-scale technology organisation.Drive technology strategy execution, multi-year investment planning and portfolio prioritisation.Oversee technology financial performance, CAPEX/OPEX management and cost optimisation.Establish executive dashboards, KPIs and performance reporting for senior leadership and Board committees.Lead strategic workforce planning, resource allocation and organisational efficiency initiatives.Partner with Technology Finance and senior technology leaders to improve investment decisions, accountability and governance.Support the CIO on strategic initiatives, executive reporting and operating model improvements.Ideal Background:Senior leadership experience within a major bank or global financial institution.Strong background in Technology Business Management, CIO Office, Technology Strategy & Planning or Technology COO functions.Proven ownership of large-scale technology budgets, financial planning and investment governance.Experience working directly with CIOs, CTOs or executive leadership teams.Strong commercial, analytical and stakeholder management capabilities.This is a strategic leadership position requiring someone who understands how to plan, fund, prioritise and measure a complex Group Technology organisation, rather than a traditional technology delivery role.Interested candidates are welcome to reach out directly for a confidential discussion.
