Chief Operating Officer

The Chief Operating Officer is a full-time, on-site executive leadership role based in California, United States. This position is responsible for providing enterprise-wide operational leadership across a complex healthcare services organization, ensuring that people, processes, systems, and resources are effectively aligned with the organization’s strategic and financial objectives.The COO will work closely with the Chief Executive Officer and executive leadership team to translate organizational strategy into measurable operating results. This executive will oversee key business and service operations, establish performance standards, strengthen operational discipline, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, quality, and service delivery.Core responsibilities include leading operational strategy and execution, overseeing organizational performance, managing budgets and resource allocation, establishing and monitoring operational KPIs, and driving continuous improvement across multiple functions. The COO will also lead major transformation initiatives, develop senior operational leaders, support organizational growth, and ensure operations remain aligned with applicable healthcare regulatory, compliance, quality, and risk-management requirements.The successful candidate will bring the executive presence, operational depth, financial acumen, and leadership experience required to manage a sophisticated healthcare services environment while partnering effectively with senior leadership and key stakeholders.Qualifications- Significant executive leadership experience within healthcare services, healthcare operations, or a similarly complex healthcare organization.- Demonstrated success leading large-scale operations and translating enterprise strategy into measurable operational outcomes.- Strong experience in operational transformation, process optimization, performance improvement, and scaling complex business functions.- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop senior leaders and high-performing cross-functional teams.- Strong financial and commercial acumen, including budgeting, financial planning, resource allocation, and operational performance management.- Experience establishing and monitoring operational KPIs, performance frameworks, and executive-level reporting.- Strong understanding of healthcare regulatory, compliance, quality, and risk-management requirements.- Demonstrated ability to improve service delivery while maintaining high standards of quality, efficiency, and organizational performance.- Excellent executive communication, decision-making, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.- Ability to lead effectively within a complex, fast-paced environment involving organizational growth, transformation, and changing business priorities.- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Operations Management, or a related field; MBA, MHA, or comparable advanced degree preferred.- Ability to work full-time on-site in California, United States.
