The COO will oversee daily operations across business units, ensuring efficient processes, quality delivery, and alignment with strategic goals. Responsibilities include leading operational planning, optimizing workflows, managing budgets and resources, and monitoring performance metrics. The role involves close collaboration with the executive team on business planning, risk management, and growth initiatives, as well as coaching and developing managers to maintain a high-performance, inclusive culture. The COO will also represent operations in key stakeholder meetings and support partnerships with industry and research collaborators.Qualifications Strong business planning and strategic development skills, including experience translating vision into operational plans.Proven expertise in operations management, process optimization, and cross-functional coordination.Robust analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, define KPIs, and drive data-informed decisions.Solid finance and budgeting skills, including managing P&L, forecasting, and resource allocation.Leadership experience in technology, energy, or related industries, ideally within a growth or innovation-focused environment.Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams, foster collaboration, and build inclusive, high-trust work environments.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience working with partners and research institutions.Relevant academic background in business, engineering, finance, or a related field; advanced degree is an advantage.
