Founded in 2004 as a small poultry operation in Brgy. Magangon, Polanco, Zamboanga del Norte, it has grown into a regional distributor supplying national chains such as Landers Superstore. The farm employs modern agricultural practices and strict biosecurity standards to ensure consistent product quality and safety. It offers specialized products, including selenium-enriched eggs, organic acid eggs for digestive health, and traditional clay-cured salted eggs. Akao Farms is part of the FML Group of Companies, which is active in logistics, sustainable agriculture, and food processing.FML Agriventures Corporation (Akao Farms) is seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead and strengthen our commercial layer farming operations.We are looking for a strategic leader who can drive operational excellence, optimize production efficiency, strengthen organizational performance, and support sustainable business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and oversee overall farm operations, production, maintenance, warehousing, and logistics.Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with corporate objectives.Ensure efficient layer production, flock health, egg quality, and biosecurity management.Oversee operational budgets, cost optimization, and resource utilization.Strengthen operational systems, risk management, and regulatory compliance.Lead department heads and develop high-performing, accountable management teams.Drive innovation, process improvements, and long-term operational sustainability.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Animal Science, Agribusiness, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.MBA or relevant postgraduate degree is highly preferred.At least 10 years of progressive experience in agricultural operations, poultry production, agribusiness, or related industries.Minimum of 5 years in a senior management or executive leadership role.Strong background in commercial layer farming or large-scale poultry operations is highly preferred.Proven expertise in strategic planning, operational management, financial oversight, and organizational leadership.Excellent analytical, decision-making, and people management skills.📍 Location: Polanco, Zamboanga del Norte, PhilippinesReady to lead and make an impact?Join Akao Farms and take a pivotal role in advancing operational excellence, innovation, and sustainable growth in the poultry industry.
