About the Role
We are seeking an experienced, commercially driven and hands-on Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead the commercial growth and operational performance of a technology-driven business operating in the Telematics, Fleet Management, IoT and related technology solutions sectors.The COO will be responsible for driving revenue growth, strengthening operational efficiency, developing key customer relationships and ensuring effective coordination across business functions.
Key Responsibilities
Take overall responsibility for sales growth, revenue targets and operational performance.Lead and support the sales team in developing new business, strategic accounts and long-term customer relationships.Develop and execute strategies to increase revenue, expand market penetration and improve customer retention.Grow existing accounts through value-added solutions, account expansion and cross-selling opportunities.Monitor sales pipelines, forecasts, targets, KPIs and individual team performance.Review pricing, margins, product positioning and commercial strategies.Strengthen relationships with key customers, partners, suppliers and regulatory stakeholders.Improve internal processes, resource allocation, service delivery and operational accountability.Identify relevant emerging technologies, including AI, IoT, data analytics and automation.Work with technical teams to align product development with customer needs and market opportunities.Report directly to the CEO on performance, priorities, risks and action plans. Requirements - Candidate Profile: 10–15 years of relevant experience, including senior management or leadership roles.Strong background in B2B sales, business development, commercial management and operations.Experience in Telematics, Fleet Management, IoT, IT, Software, Telecom, GPS, or related technical sectors is required.Proven ability to build and lead sales teams, manage key accounts and achieve business growth objectives.Strong understanding of pricing, margins, profitability and recurring or subscription-based business models.Experience managing cross-functional teams and coordinating commercial, technical and operational activities.Exposure to AI-enabled technologies, digital solutions or data-driven applications is an advantage.Prior experience in GCC business environment is preferred.Strong leadership, negotiation, communication and customer-management skills.Hands-on, execution-oriented approach with the ability to work effectively in a lean organization.Education:Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, IT, Computer Science or a related field. An MBA or equivalent professional qualification will be an advantage.Leadership Expectations:This role requires active, on-ground leadership and close engagement with customers, teams and day-to-day business execution. The successful candidate must be commercially focused, practical and capable of translating strategy into measurable results.Visa & Relocation: Candidates currently based in Saudi Arabia: Transferable employment visa sponsorship can be provided, subject to applicable Saudi regulations and requirements. Candidates based in Pakistan: Visa sponsorship will be provided for suitable Pakistani candidates selected for the role, subject to applicable Saudi employment and immigration requirements.
