THE NORVEN FOUNDING FELLOWSHIP — SENIOR RISK LEADERS · UAE & GCCAn invitation to a small number of the most senior risk leaders in the region · Dubai / Abu Dhabi · GCC-wide · Founding · Remunerated per engagementThere are rare moments when a new professional standard is set — and a small group of people put their name to it before the rest of the market follows. This is one of them.Norven is building the independent authority layer for AI-era trust: independent, evidence-backed judgement, signed by a named expert, on whether a consequential AI deployment decision was defensible. Not certification, not legal advice — the considered, bounded opinion of a person whose name carries weight, designed to stand in the file a board or a supervisor will one day examine. The Gulf is building the world's most ambitious sovereign and institutional AI programmes; the question "who independently stands behind this AI decision?" will be asked here early — and answered by institutions being founded now. Civilian applications only, always. We are, in confidence, convening the founding Fellows for the region — chief risk officers, chief compliance officers and former regulators — to shape that standard and lend it their authority. Fellowship is selective. It is a paid, founding engagement: remunerated per engagement, never salaried and never on retainer, with founding equity for core members — designed to sit alongside, not compete with, a serious executive or board portfolio. An opinion is only independent if the person giving it does not depend on the next one.A signature is only worth what protects it. Every Fellow appointment is individually gated — conflict clearance engagement by engagement, independent quality review before anything is signed — and the professional-indemnity and reliance architecture is being designed now with specialist counsel and Lloyd's-market advisers. Nothing is signed until those gates pass, and we say so plainly. A reasoned decline is a first-class outcome here, and the fee is identical either way.It will suit someone who has carried ultimate accountability for risk at a significant regulated institution; who has sat across the table from the CBUAE, DFSA, FSRA, SAMA or their international peers; and who recognises — earlier than most — that independent, named accountability for AI decisions is about to become the region's expectation as well as its ambition. The founding Fellows will be among those who answer it.If that is you, I would welcome a discreet conversation — message our Founder, directly, or apply with a short note on the most consequential deployment decision you were ever accountable for.Skills: Risk Management · Enterprise Risk Management · Operational Risk Management · Model Risk Management · Regulatory Compliance · Corporate Governance · Financial Services · Banking · AI Governance ·
