Role Description The Chief Security Architect is a part-time, hybrid role based in Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates, with flexibility for some work from home. This role is responsible for defining and maintaining the overall security architecture across systems, networks, applications, and data, ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of sensitive information. Day-to-day tasks include assessing security risks, designing secure architectures and controls for geospatial data platforms and operational systems, and collaborating with technical teams to integrate security into infrastructure, applications, and workflows. The Chief Security Architect will develop and maintain security policies, standards, and guidelines, oversee security reviews and threat modeling, and support compliance with relevant regulations and best practices. The role also involves monitoring emerging threats and technologies, advising leadership on security strategy, and guiding incident response and continuous improvement efforts.QualificationsCandidates should possess strong skills in Security Architecture Design, with experience defining enterprise-wide security frameworks and reference architectures.Candidates should possess skills in Application Security and Cybersecurity, including secure software design, threat modeling, and vulnerability management for cloud and on-premise solutions.Candidates should possess skills in Network Security and Information Security, including secure network design, encryption, identity and access management, and data protection controls.Experience with security governance, risk management, and compliance (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, or similar frameworks) is beneficial.Proven ability to work collaboratively with engineering, IT, and operations teams, and to communicate complex security concepts in clear, practical terms.Experience securing geospatial, drone, or aviation-related systems and data is an advantage.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or a related field;
