Job Description:Strategy Lead the implementation and continuous enhancement of the department’s media communication strategy in alignment with RTA’s corporate communication objectives and institutional priorities. Provide expert advisory support to leadership on media messaging, communication positioning, and reputation management strategies. Oversee the preparation, review, editing, and translation of press releases and official media statements covering Authority events, projects, and initiatives, ensuring accuracy and timely dissemination across media channels. Monitor, analyze, and evaluate media coverage and public sentiment, identifying risks and opportunities and recommending strategic actions to enhance RTA’s public image.Lead the development and governance of comprehensive media plans for RTA’s initiatives, campaigns, and events. Guide the design and implementation of awareness campaigns and communication publications targeting specific audience segments to enhance public awareness of RTA services and initiatives. Support the department’s media objectives by delivering accurate content and maintaining alignment with RTA communication standards. Prepare, edit, review, and translate press releases and media messages covering Authority events, projects, and activities, ensuring departmental credits and timely dissemination to media channels. Monitor media coverage, classify and analyze news reports, and submit recommendations for corrective action or improvement to enhance Authority visibility and reputation. Prepare media plans outlining various Authority events, implementing and updating them periodically. Design awareness campaigns and publications targeting specific audience segments to improve traffic and service awareness. OperationsOversee the preparation and approval of press releases, announcements, and media content to ensure alignment with RTA communication standards and policies. Supervise coordination of media interview requests and maintain relationships with media representatives to ensure effective and consistent communication. Lead the preparation of speeches, talking points, and briefing materials for executives and senior leadership during official events and media engagements. Ensure quality assurance and compliance of all publications and announcements issued by RTA’s organizational units. Oversee the production of RTA’s publications including Al-Masar and Salama magazines, ensuring coordination with relevant departments regarding technical and editorial content. Lead the development of awareness publications aimed at spreading traffic awareness across different segments of society. Oversee the planning and management of media-related events including press conferences, workshops, and media briefings. Coordinate with media bodies for television, radio, print, and digital coverage of RTA’s initiatives and events. Oversee the issuance of permits for media entities to film within RTA’s facilities and assets in accordance with established policies and procedures. Review and validate presentations and media materials related to public and media events to ensure messaging accuracy and compliance. Review and validate media content prepared by external companies where RTA is mentioned to ensure consistency with Authority messaging and communication standards. Product / Process Improvement Lead the preparation and analysis of media performance reports and provide insights on coverage trends, media reach, and public engagement. Enhance media documentation and archiving frameworks through the adoption of enterprise digital platforms and improved workflows. Oversee the management of RTA’s media archive including press releases, interviews, photos, videos, complaints, and media requests. Promote the use of digital storytelling techniques and emerging communication technologies to improve the quality and impact of media outputs. Ensure alignment and compliance of media references to RTA in publications produced by Authority-related companies or partners. Coordinate with Human Resources and Development to qualify and evaluate department and executive managers authorized for media appearances, ensuring readiness and effective representation.Job Requirements:Bachelor's degree/ master’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Media Studies, or Visual Communication 9+ years in case of Master’s degree (11+ years in case of Bachelor’s degree) in related field Extensive experience in media relations, corporate communications, and strategic media managementProven ability to develop and execute integrated media and communication strategiesStrong expertise in brand identity management and ensuring consistent brand positioningExperience in planning and managing marketing campaigns, public events, and communication initiativesProficiency in content development, digital storytelling, and multimedia communicationProficiency in graphic design, video production, and visual communication tools is an advantageStrong focus on excellence in execution and high-quality outcomesAbility to conduct market research, benchmarking, and horizon scanning to identify emerging media trendsFamiliarity with AI-powered content creation, digital storytelling, and modern communication technologies
