Apply & track with Apply EdgeABOUT THE JOBWe are currently seeking a highly skilled Chief Surveyor to join our Project and Construction Management team for a major Roads Program in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This role forms part of our Infrastructure Division and requires strong surveying expertise within large‑scale roads and civil works projects.As a chief Surveyor, you will lead all surveying activities, ensuring that construction works are executed in accordance with approved designs, contract requirements, and project specifications while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and quality.KEY RESPONSABILITIESMain descriptions of the job position:Lead and supervise all surveying activities for major road and bridge infrastructure works, including topographic, setting-out, levelling, boundary verification, and as-built surveys.Review and approve survey methodologies, procedures, reports, drawings, digital terrain models (DTMs), and related documentation.Verify contractors’ survey control networks, benchmarks, setting-out works, and as-built records to ensure compliance with project requirements, approved drawings, tolerances, and specificationsOversee surveys for bridges, flyovers, underpasses, retaining walls, road corridors, utilities, and other associated infrastructure.Monitor alignment, elevation, coordinates, survey tolerances, utility locations, deformation, and quantity calculations.Ensure all survey data is accurate, validated, traceable, and suitable for progress reporting, audits, handover, and final documentation.Manage the survey team and provide technical guidance and mentoring to survey engineers and surveyors.Maintain and calibrate surveying instruments to ensure accuracy and reliable performance throughout the project.Participate in technical meetings, project audits, and inspections, providing professional advice on surveying matters.Coordinate with other disciplines to resolve survey discrepancies and support the smooth delivery of supervision services.ABOUT YOUBachelor’s degree in surveying engineering, Geomatics Engineering or a related discipline. Minimum of 12 years of experience in surveying, preferably on major road and bridge infrastructure projects.Strong experience with highways, bridges, underpasses, flyovers, and large transportation infrastructure projects.Strong knowledge of surveying methodologies, geometric design, and construction practices. Experience reviewing contractor survey submissions and as-built documentation.Strong understanding of construction tolerances, geometric control, and survey quality assurance requirements.Proficiency in surveying instruments such as total stations, GNSS/GPS equipment, digital levels, and laser scanning tools.Experience working with software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, or other surveying and mapping applications.Familiarity with local KSA standards, regulations, and municipal requirements.Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Strong teamwork, problem‑solving abilities, flexibility, and technical rigor.Proficiency in English; Arabic is a plus.Willingness to work in a multicultural, multinational environment.Experience reviewing contractor survey submissions and as-built documentation.Strong understanding of construction tolerances, geometric control, and survey quality assurance requirements.Additional requirements:Transferable Iqama in case non-Saudi.Based in Riyadh.Valid SCE membership.Only Linkedin CVs will be checked; we do not receive applications at our offices.ABOUT USWe are an international consultancy working in the areas of engineering and architecture on projects that contribute to a more sustainable world.
