The CTO will define the long-term technology roadmap, oversee software development and infrastructure, and ensure the organization delivers scalable, secure, and high-quality technology solutions that support business growth.The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with exceptional leadership skills and has a proven track record of building high-performing engineering teams, driving innovation, and aligning technology initiatives with business objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnology StrategyDevelop and execute the company's technology vision and long-term roadmap.Align technology initiatives with business goals and growth strategy.Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies that create competitive advantages.Establish technology standards, architecture, and best practices.Engineering LeadershipLead and mentor engineering, infrastructure, DevOps, security, and IT teams.Build a high-performance engineering culture focused on innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Recruit, develop, and retain top technical talent.Foster cross-functional collaboration between engineering, product, sales, and operations.Product & InnovationPartner with product leadership to define technical requirements and product roadmaps.Oversee the design, development, testing, and deployment of products and platforms.Ensure software is scalable, reliable, secure, and maintainable.Drive innovation and continuous product improvement.Infrastructure & SecurityOversee cloud infrastructure, networking, system architecture, and platform reliability.Establish cybersecurity policies and ensure compliance with industry standards.Manage disaster recovery, business continuity, and risk mitigation strategies.Ensure system availability, monitoring, and operational excellence.Operational ExcellenceDefine engineering processes, development standards, and performance metrics.Optimize software development lifecycle (SDLC), CI/CD pipelines, and release management.Improve engineering productivity through automation and modern development practices.Manage technology budgets and vendor relationships.Executive LeadershipAdvise executive leadership and the Board on technology strategy and risks.Communicate technical vision to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Support fundraising, investor meetings, customer engagements, and strategic partnerships when needed.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).10+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, technology leadership, or engineering management.5+ years leading engineering organizations or technology teams.Proven experience developing and executing technology strategy.Strong background in software architecture, cloud computing, distributed systems, and modern development practices.Experience managing engineering budgets, roadmaps, and organizational growth.Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on technical guidance.Preferred QualificationsExperience leading technology organizations in startups or high-growth companies.Experience building SaaS, cloud-native, AI, fintech, healthcare, or enterprise software products.Strong understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.Experience with DevOps, Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation.Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and regulatory compliance.Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, or global technology expansion.
