Technology, Software, Infrastructure & CybersecurityLocation: Karachi, Pakistan | Employment Type: Full-Time | Shift: Night Shift (US Working Hours)About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced and hands-on Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to build and lead ourtechnology function from the ground up.The CTO will have overall responsibility for three interconnected areas:1. Software Development & Digital Transformation2. IT Infrastructure & Support3. Cybersecurity, Information & Data SecurityThe company is moving from a largely manual and fragmented technology environment toward asecure, integrated technology ecosystem supporting our corporate offices, back offices and US retailoperations.This is an opportunity for a technology leader who wants to build rather than inherit—establishing thearchitecture, systems, security framework and technology team that will support the company's nextstage of growth.Key Responsibilities1. Software Development & Enterprise SystemsLead the development and implementation of proprietary business applications that digitize andautomate internal operations.Key areas include:Enterprise internal communication and collaborationManagement reporting, MIS and dashboardsWorkflow and approval managementPayment, procurement and policy approval workflowsStore support and ticketingDigital forms and business processesData integration and APIsBusiness intelligence and analyticsIntegration with existing enterprise applicationsThe core software environment will primarily use the Microsoft/.NET ecosystem.The CTO will establish appropriate application architecture, databases, APIs, development standards,DevOps, testing, security and deployment practices.The role will also oversee the company's NetSuite environment, including administration, integrations,optimization and coordination with implementation partners where required.2. Infrastructure & IT OperationsTake ownership of technology infrastructure across US retail stores, corporate offices and back offices.This includes:Internet connectivity and networkingStore and office IT infrastructureComputers, devices and endpoint managementCloud and server infrastructureWi-Fi and network securityUser accounts and access managementIT support and service managementBackup and disaster recoveryTechnology standards across locationsVendor and technology partner managementThe CTO will establish a standardized, scalable and reliable IT architecture rather than relying onlocation-by-location solutions.3. Cybersecurity & Data ProtectionBuild the company's information security foundation and establish a practical cybersecurity program.Responsibilities include:Cybersecurity strategy and policiesIdentity and access managementMulti-factor authenticationEndpoint and network securityData protection and encryptionVulnerability and patch managementSecurity monitoring and loggingBackup and recoveryIncident responseEmployee security awarenessThird-party/vendor securityBusiness continuity and disaster recoveryThe CTO will conduct an initial technology and security risk assessment and establish a prioritizedroadmap to address critical vulnerabilities.4. Build the Technology EcosystemA key objective is to replace fragmented processes that currently rely heavily on WhatsApp, GoogleSheets, email and manual follow-ups with secure, integrated systems.The long-term vision is:Retail Stores → Back Office → Corporate Functions → Internal Applications → NetSuite → Reporting & ManagementThe CTO will determine what should be built, purchased, integrated or outsourced, ensuring technologyinvestments are driven by business value, security, scalability and cost effectiveness.5.
