Chief Technology Officer

Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead our global technologystrategy, software engineering, platform architecture, and game engine development.In this role, you will bridge technical vision with business goals—architecting ultra-scalable,low-latency gaming systems, ensuring GLI/iTech Labs compliance, and driving innovationacross slot game engines, RNG platforms, table games, and back-office ecosystems.Key Responsibilities1. Technology Vision & Strategy* Define and execute the company’s multi-year technology roadmap aligned with commercialexpansion goals.* Lead the architectural design for real-time game engines (Slots, Table Games,Scratch/Crash/Instant Games) and Remote Gaming Servers (RGS).* Evaluate and implement emerging technologies (e.g., WebGL/Pixi.js, microservices,cloud-native deployments, AI-driven player personalization, serverless architectures).2. Game Development & Platform Architecture* Oversee the end-to-end development of online & offline casino games, ensuring high framerates, low latency, cross-browser compatibility, and smooth mobile responsiveness, deployment/integration in offline cabinets.* Supervise Random Number Generator (RNG) engine development and mathematical modelintegration (RTP, volatility tuning, hit frequency validation).* Manage seamless integrations with aggregators, operators, payment gateways, and playermanagement systems (PAM) via robust APIs/SDKs.3. Compliance, Security & Licensing* Ensure all systems meet stringent regulatory requirements across target jurisdictions (e.g.,MGA, UKGC, Curacao, SGA, North America/NJ/ON).* Lead certification processes with independent testing laboratories (GLI, BMM Testlabs, iTechLabs, eCOGRA).* Establish enterprise-grade cybersecurity, anti-fraud measures, responsible gaming tools, dataprivacy protocols (GDPR/CCPA), and SOC 2 / ISO 27001 compliance standards.4. Scalability, Infrastructure & Operations* Architect high-availability, fault-tolerant infrastructure capable of handling tens of thousands ofconcurrent bets per second with 99.99% uptime.* Oversee cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure), Kubernetes orchestration, continuousdeployment (CI/CD), and edge-caching distribution (CDN).* Implement real-time monitoring, incident response, disaster recovery, and automatedfailovers.5. Engineering Leadership & Team Growth* Build, mentor, and retain a high-performing engineering organization across Game Dev,Backend, Frontend, QA, DevOps, Data Engine, and Compliance Engineering.* Cultivate an agile culture of engineering excellence, rapid iteration, and strict code qualitystandards.* Manage annual IT/engineering budgets, vendor relationships, and third-party technologycontracts.Qualifications & RequirementsEssential Experience●5+ years of progressive experience in software engineering leadership roles (CTO, VP ofEngineering, Head of Tech).* 3+ years of hands-on experience in the iGaming / Online Casino sector, specifically buildingor scaling Slot games, Table games, or RGS platforms.* Proven track record of taking games/platforms through GLI/iTech Labs certification andoperating in regulated markets.* Deep understanding of RNG math integration, Return to Player (RTP) calculations, andstate-machine game logic.* Demonstrated ability to scale systems to handle high-concurrency, low-latency transactions.Technical Skill Set* Game Tech Stack: HTML5 / JavaScript / TypeScript, Pixi.js, Phaser, Unity, Canvas API,WebGL, WebSockets.* Backend Tech Stack: Node.js, Go, Java, C++, or C# / .NET for core game logic andhigh-throughput transaction processing.* Data & Infrastructure: AWS / GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, Redis, Kafka/RabbitMQ, PostgreSQL,MongoDB.* Architecture: Microservices, Event-Driven Architecture, REST/gRPC, Serverless.Education* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a relatedtechnical field.Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)* Experience with Live Casino/Table Game stream integration (low-latency video encoding likeWebRTC).* Familiarity with crypto/blockchain gaming mechanics or Provably Fair systems.* Experience managing multi-jurisdictional remote engineering teams.What We Offer* Competitive C-suite salary + performance bonuses.* Comprehensive health, life, and wellness insurance.* Autonomy to shape the technological future of an expanding iGaming brand.
