Chief Technology Officer

Role SummaryThe Chief Technology Officer will lead MiraiCyber’s technology strategy, architecture, and engineering execution. This role is responsible for ensuring that the company’s platform, systems, and technical operations are secure, scalable, reliable, and aligned with business objectives.The CTO will partner closely with the CEO, product, platform, and security stakeholders to translate business goals into technical roadmaps, strong delivery practices, and future-ready technology capabilities.Key Responsibilities• Own the technology vision, roadmap, and architecture direction for MiraiCyber.• Lead engineering execution across software development, infrastructure, DevSecOps, QA, and release management.• Establish technical standards for code quality, security, observability, testing, and documentation.• Make critical architecture decisions and evaluate build-versus-buy trade-offs.• Ensure platform reliability, availability, performance, and scalability.• Build, mentor, and lead technical teams as the organization grows.• Partner with product leadership to prioritize roadmap execution and manage technical debt.• Define security and privacy-by-design practices across the engineering lifecycle.• Oversee technology risk, incident readiness, and production health.• Evaluate emerging technologies, including AI, automation, and modern platform tooling.Decision Authority• Approves technical architecture, engineering standards, and platform design decisions.• Owns engineering practices, tooling choices, and delivery governance.• Recommends technical hires, team structure, and capability investments.• Escalates high-risk technical issues, security concerns, and reliability gaps.Key Success Metrics• Platform uptime, stability, and incident reduction.• Delivery predictability and release quality.• Security posture and technical risk reduction.• Product scalability and engineering productivity.• Ability to hire and retain strong technical talent.Required Qualifications• 10+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, systems architecture, or technical leadership.• At least 5 years in engineering management, architecture leadership, or equivalent senior technical roles.• Proven experience leading engineering teams in SaaS, cybersecurity, cloud, or enterprise software.• Strong knowledge of software architecture, APIs, cloud infrastructure, security, and scalability.• Demonstrated ability to manage delivery across multiple teams or complex technical programs.• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Preferred Qualifications• Experience building enterprise-grade cybersecurity or AI-enabled platforms.• Experience with global product delivery, integrations, and complex customer environments.• Familiarity with compliance, governance, and secure engineering practices.Leadership Competencies• Technical depth.• Systems thinking.• Execution discipline.• Security mindset.• Team building.• Strategic collaboration.
