Chief Technology Officer

The RoleWe are looking for a CTO to lead the technology organisation and work closely with the founders on the company's technology and AI direction.You will own technology strategy, engineering execution, architecture, team leadership and customer experience, while building a high-performing engineering organisation that can scale with the business.The founder personally drives the AI direction, and the CTO will be responsible for translating that vision into strong technology execution.TechnologyCore Stack: Java, Spring Boot & MongoDBWe are looking for someone who is technically strong and can engage deeply with architecture and engineering decisions while operating effectively as a business and people leader.What You Will Own01 Technology StrategyDefine and execute the technology roadmap aligned with business and customer priorities.Drive architecture, scalability, reliability and engineering standards.Make technology decisions that enable rapid business growth.Build a long-term technology vision while maintaining a strong bias towards execution.02 Engineering LeadershipLead and scale the engineering organisation across Platform and Flow.Build a high-performing engineering culture with strong ownership and accountability.Mentor engineering leaders and build a strong technology leadership bench.Establish processes and metrics that improve engineering velocity and quality.03 AI & InnovationPartner closely with the founders to translate the company's AI vision into execution.Identify opportunities to embed AI across products, customer journeys and internal workflows.Build an AI-first engineering culture and encourage teams to leverage AI throughout the development lifecycle.Evaluate emerging technologies and rapidly experiment with solutions that can create meaningful business impact.04 Product & Customer ExperienceWork closely with Product and business teams to solve core customer problems through technology.Ensure technology priorities are connected to measurable business and customer outcomes.Drive improvements across the customer journey through automation, personalisation and technology.05 Scale & ExecutionBuild technology systems capable of supporting the company's growth.Ensure high standards of performance, security, reliability and scalability.Operate effectively in a high-paced environment where priorities can change quickly.Balance speed of execution with long-term technical sustainability.Who We Are Looking For8–15 years of experience in software engineering / technology leadership.Currently a CTO, Head of Engineering, VP Engineering or equivalent senior technology leader, or ready to step into a CTO role.Strong experience building and leading engineering teams.Strong background in B2C / consumer technology environments.Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot and MongoDB.Experience building scalable, high-availability technology platforms.Strong product mindset and ability to connect technology decisions to customer and business outcomes.AI-first mindset with genuine interest in applying AI to products and engineering.Comfortable working directly with founders and senior leadership.Strong ownership, execution orientation and ability to operate with ambiguity.Ability to thrive in a high-paced, high-growth environment.
