At Giant Group we have an exciting opportunity for a Chief Technology Officer to join our growing team.Job Title: Chief Technology Officer - Giant ScreeningLocation: Askari Corporate Tower, Main Boulevard, Gulberg III, LahoreSalary: Market Competetive Salary plus bonusHours: 40hrs, The engineering team operates two shifts: 10:00-19:00 PKT (standard) and 12:00-21:00 PKT (late shift). The CTO is expected to work across both shifts as needed and maintain meaningful daily overlap with UK business hours. Flexibility and presence matter more than a fixed schedule.Tenure: PermanentAbout usGiant Screening is a UK-headquartered workforce compliance business operating iCHEX, a background screening platform that we are transforming into a full employee lifecycle compliance system. iCHEX serves enterprise clients across the UK and internationally, with a growing footprint and an ambitious international expansion plan underway. The platform ambition is significant. We are moving from transactional screening into a recurring, always-on compliance infrastructure that employers and workers rely on throughout the employment lifecycle. The roadmap is active, the commercial traction is strong, and the business is focused on building a genuinely differentiated position in its market.Giant Screening is part of Giant Group, a diversified professional services business, and benefits from group-level expertise in areas including network security, infrastructure, and AI development practice. The CTO has full ownership and authority over Screening's engineering function. To understand more about Giant Group and our services please browse our websites at: www.giantgroup.com | www.giantscreening.com | www.ichexglobal.comAbout the roleThis is a newly created role, reflecting the growth and ambition of the business and the scale of what iCHEX needs to become. As Chief Technology Officer, you will provide the senior technology leadership that shapes how iCHEX evolves, how the engineering function operates, and how the platform supports a business that is scaling internationally. You will report directly to the CEO and be the most senior technology voice in the business, with clear authority over engineering, architecture, technical delivery, quality, and security. You will work closely with the Head of Product as a genuine peer. Product owns the customer problem, priorities, and the what and why. You own technical feasibility, architecture, engineering delivery, quality, and the how. Where priorities need to be balanced, the CEO provides the final steer.Giant Screening is not an organisation that sits back. This role requires someone who gets involved, drives things forward, and makes delivery happen alongside the existing engineering team. Strategy without delivery is not something we accept.Key responsibilities of the role include:Set the technology vision for iCHEX and ensure it stays ahead of the market as the platform evolves from background screening into full employee lifecycle compliance.Personally lead the assessment, design, and phased implementation of the multi-tenant architecture, including tenant isolation, access controls, data segregation, auditability, and automated leakage testing. iCHEX handles highly sensitive personal data and a cross-tenant data breach would be a serious client, regulatory, and reputational event.Own engineering delivery end to end, including sprint performance, release quality, deployment stability, delivery predictability, and transparent reporting on failures, rework, root causes, and corrective actions.Build and mature the QA function, establishing automated testing capability and release governance that gives the business confidence in every deployment.Drive AI-led engineering practice across the team, moving from ad hoc tool usage to disciplined, measurable AI-accelerated development as the default mode of working.Work closely with the Head of Product, engaging collaboratively from the beginning of the product process so technical reality informs priorities before they are committed.Line manage the Software Development Manager, develop and elevate the engineering team, build a culture of accountability and ownership, and make the right people decisions at the right time.Engage with group technology functions on architecture, infrastructure, and security, drawing on group expertise where it adds value while maintaining clear ownership of Screening's engineering agenda.Your ideal experience & competencies Ideally, you will have significant software engineering experience, including substantial senior leadership responsibility, a strong track record of improving engineering organisations, and deep understanding of secure multi-tenant SaaS architecture. You can only excel in this role if you combine strong technical depth with excellent people leadership and delivery discipline. The right profile is a strong Head of Engineering or VP Engineering with genuine CTO potential, rather than an established, purely strategic CTO.Proven experience leading and improving engineering teams, with direct accountability for delivery, quality, architecture, and technical standards.Deep understanding of secure multi-tenant SaaS architecture, including tenant data segregation, access control at every layer, encryption, audit trails, automated leakage testing, and safe migration from legacy systems. You must be able to personally lead the platform assessment and make credible architectural decisions. Prior hands-on experience with a multi-tenant platform is a significant advantage but demonstrated depth under questioning is the real test.Strong practical experience using AI tooling within engineering, together with the appetite and credibility to embed AI-assisted development across the team. Evidence of having previously led wider AI adoption would be a significant advantage.Strong people leadership, including the judgement and confidence to make the right people decisions at the right time.Product lifecycle fluency. You understand how product and engineering decisions interact and engage with the Head of Product as a peer with clear and separate authority.A hands-on approach. During the first six months you should be capable of inspecting code, reviewing technical designs, and getting deeply into delivery problems.Experience managing technical debt and modernising established platforms without defaulting to unnecessary rewrites. The interpersonal maturity to work in close partnership with a hands-on CEO, to engage constructively with an experienced Head of Product as a genuine peer, and to navigate senior stakeholder relationships with confidence. The ability to communicate clearly and simply with non-technical colleagues. You translate technical complexity into plain language without jargon, and without using technical vocabulary to demonstrate expertise rather than aid understanding.Employee BenefitsProvident fundHealth insuranceMental health coverageLife insuranceRole related studiesParkingReferral bonusesCafeteria and game room for recreationBirthday leaveLong term service awardCompany events and tripsAll our posts are subject to pre-employment checks.
