delivering complex Network, Cloud and Infrastructure solutions to financial services organisations.As the business enters its next phase of growth, they are looking for an experienced Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to take ownership of the company's technical strategy, engineering function and technology roadmap.This is a highly influential leadership position, working directly alongside the CEO to shape the future direction of the business.You will have the opportunity to build and develop the engineering organisation, establish engineering culture and best practices, influence client-facing technology strategy, and help define how the company scales its technical capabilities as it expands.The RoleAs CTO, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership across the organisation while remaining closely connected to both the engineering team and the company's commercial strategy.You will lead the development and execution of the technical roadmap, ensure the engineering function operates to a high standard, and help the business continue to deliver high-quality solutions to demanding financial services customers.A key part of the position will be building the engineering organisation — identifying the skills and capabilities required, recruiting exceptional technical talent, developing the team and establishing the culture, processes and standards required to support future growth.You will also work closely with the CEO on business growth, market expansion and strategic decision-making, helping translate the company's commercial ambitions into a scalable technical strategy.Key ResponsibilitiesDefine and execute the company's overall technology and engineering strategyDevelop and maintain a clear technical roadmap aligned with business growth objectivesLead, mentor and develop the engineering organisationEstablish engineering culture, standards, methodologies and best practicesBuild and scale the engineering team through recruitment, development and succession planningPartner closely with the CEO on growth strategy, expansion and new service offeringsProvide technical leadership across Network, Cloud and Infrastructure projectsHelp shape the company's approach to architecture, security, automation, scalability and service deliveryMaintain strong relationships with key clients and provide senior technical leadership where requiredEvaluate emerging technologies and determine where they can create value for the business and its customersEstablish appropriate engineering processes, documentation, governance and performance metricsEnsure technical solutions are scalable, secure, commercially viable and aligned with client requirementsSupport the development of new technical capabilities as the company expands into new marketsAct as the senior technical authority across the organisationWhat We're Looking ForWe are looking for an established technology leader who has already operated successfully at CTO level and understands what it takes to build and scale an engineering-led technology business.You should have:Proven experience operating as a Chief Technology Officer / CTOExperience leading and scaling engineering or infrastructure teamsA strong background across Networks, Cloud and InfrastructureExperience developing and executing a technical strategy and roadmapA track record of recruiting, building and developing high-performing technical teamsExperience establishing engineering culture, standards and best practicesStrong commercial awareness and the ability to connect technology strategy with business objectivesExperience working closely with CEOs, founders or executive leadership teamsStrong communication skills and the ability to engage with both highly technical teams and senior business stakeholdersExperience within a consultancy, MSP, systems integrator or technology services environment would be highly advantageousIdeally, experience supporting customers
