Apply & track with Apply EdgeFounding CTO / Technical Co-Founder — Sports Simulation & 2D Game SystemsScoutics is building an AI-powered sports intelligence and simulation platform that models games, players, tactics, and outcomes through interactive, data-driven simulations.We’re looking for an experienced Founding CTO / Technical Co-Founder based in the United States to lead the next stage of our technology and engineering organization.This is not a management-only CTO role. We are specifically looking for a hands-on developer who is comfortable designing architecture, writing production code, debugging simulation systems, and building alongside the engineering team.What we’re looking for
- Based in the United States
- Previous experience as a CTO, Technical Co-Founder, VP/Head of Engineering, Lead Engineer, or equivalent technical leader
- Strong background in game development, preferably sports games or sports simulation
- Deep experience building 2D real-time game or simulation systems
- Strong hands-on programming experience and the ability to contribute directly to the codebase
- Experience with gameplay architecture, player/agent behavior, state machines, movement, physics, and simulation logic
- Experience shipping production games, simulators, or interactive products
- Strong software architecture and engineering fundamentals
- Experience hiring, mentoring, and building engineering teams
- Comfortable remaining deeply technical while defining the engineering roadmapExperience with AI agents, multi-agent systems, reinforcement learning, sports analytics, Unity, Godot, custom game engines, or large-scale simulation is especially valuable.What you’ll ownYou’ll work directly with the founder to:
- Lead Scoutics’ technical strategy and architecture
- Advance our sports simulation engine and 2D match experience
- Build and improve simulation systems directly in the codebase
- Develop scalable architecture across multiple sports
- Integrate AI/ML models with interactive game simulation
- Improve simulation realism, player behavior, performance, and gameplay systems
- Recruit and lead the engineering team as we grow
- Establish engineering standards and development processes
- Help shape product and company strategy as a member of the founding teamWe’re especially interested in engineers who have previously built sports games, sports simulators, multi-agent environments, or real-time 2D game systems and want significant ownership over both the technology and the company.If you’ve led technology before but still enjoy building, coding, and solving difficult engineering problems yourself, I’d love to talk.Scoutics — AI Sports Intelligence & Simulation
