Founding Chief Technology OfficerThe opportunityWe are building the financial intelligence platform modern operators and finance leaders deserve: a trusted, intuitive system that turns fragmented business data into clear, decision-ready insight.We are looking for a founding CTO to own the technical vision and execution from the ground up. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can move comfortably between product strategy, architecture, engineering management, security, and the unglamorous work required to ship a reliable product quickly.You will be a core company builder, working directly with the founders to turn an ambitious product vision into a durable, trusted business.What you’ll doDefine and execute the technical strategy, architecture, and engineering roadmap.Build and lead a high-performing engineering organization, beginning with direct hands-on development.Ship a secure, reliable, polished product at startup speed.Partner with the founder and customers to translate complex financial workflows into simple, trustworthy product experiences.Establish high standards for code quality, testing, observability, security, data governance, and operational excellence.Make pragmatic build-versus-buy decisions and manage the technical stack responsibly.Design systems that can scale in data volume, customer count, integrations, and organizational complexity.Own data integrity and explainability, ensuring customers can understand and trust the numbers they see.Recruit, mentor, and retain exceptional engineers as the company grows.Represent engineering in company-level decisions, customer conversations, and investor discussions.What we’re looking forSignificant experience building and scaling software products, ideally as a technical founder, CTO, staff/principal engineer, or engineering leader in an early-stage environment.Strong full-stack technical judgment across modern web applications, APIs, cloud infrastructure, databases, analytics, and security.A record of shipping customer-facing products quickly without sacrificing reliability or maintainability.Deep respect for data quality, auditability, and user trust—especially in products that influence financial decisions.Ability to communicate technical tradeoffs clearly to non-technical teammates, customers, and investors.High ownership: you see problems early, make decisions, and carry work through to a high-quality outcome.Strong product instinct and empathy for users. You care about why a feature matters, not only how it is built.Comfort with ambiguity, changing priorities, and the wide scope of a founding role.Nice to haveExperience in fintech, accounting, FP&A, SaaS analytics, ERP integrations, or financial data systems.Experience building products that handle sensitive customer data or compliance-sensitive workflows.Previous startup founding experience or a demonstrated desire to take on founder-level responsibility.Experience recruiting and developing early engineering teams.What success looks likeIn your first months, you will establish a clear technical foundation, accelerate product delivery, strengthen product reliability, and create confidence that the platform can earn and keep customer trust.
