Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

Role Description This part-time, remote Chief Technology Officer (CTO) role is responsible for setting and executing the overall technology vision and roadmap. The CTO will oversee software and product development initiatives, guiding teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing solutions. Day-to-day activities include collaborating with leadership on technology priorities, aligning IT strategy with business goals, and defining architectural standards and best practices. The role involves managing technical projects, monitoring progress and risks, and ensuring effective communication across engineering, product, and business stakeholders. The CTO will also evaluate new technologies, optimize processes, and establish governance to support sustainable growth and innovation.Qualifications Strong background in Software Development and Architecture, with experience designing scalable, secure, and reliable systems.Proven experience in IT Strategy, aligning technology initiatives with business objectives and long-term growth.Demonstrated expertise in Project Management, leading cross-functional technical projects from concept through delivery.Hands-on involvement in Product Development, partnering with product and business teams to define requirements and roadmap.Leadership experience in mentoring technical teams, fostering inclusive collaboration, and building high-performance engineering cultures.Ability to work effectively in a remote environment, with strong communication, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills.Familiarity with modern cloud platforms, security best practices, and DevOps methodologies.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degree or equivalent experience is beneficial.
