Chief UAV Systems Scientist / Project Leader

Role Description & ScopeLead the design and development of long-range UAV platforms with operational ranges exceeding 1,000km or MALE/HALE features. Own the full UAV lifecycle, including aerodynamics, propulsion, avionics, autonomy, mission systems, capability building, and team development.Key Responsibilities

• Define UAV platform architecture for MALE/HALE class systems.
• Lead aerodynamic design, propulsion, and structural engineering.
• Develop autonomous flight control and navigation systems.
• Integrate mission payloads, including ISR, EW, and other mission systems.
• Establish GCS and datalink architecture, including BLOS.
• Manage flight testing, certification, and operational handover.Core Technical Skills
• UAV/UAS platform design for MALE/HALE class systems.
• Propulsion systems, including turboprop, jet, and hybrid-electric.
• Autonomous navigation, including INS/GPS and SLAM.
• Satellite and LOS datalink systems.
• Flight control systems and autopilot design.Required Qualifications & DegreePh.D. in Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering. M.Sc. with provenUAV development record may be considered.Minimum Experience15+ year
