This is an opportunity to contribute to a mission-driven organization that prioritizes safety, resilience, and long-term positive outcomes.Role Description The Child and Family Therapist is a full-time, on-site role based in Tucson, AZ, providing therapeutic services to children and their families in individual, family, and group settings. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering evidence-based interventions tailored to the needs of children and caregivers. The therapist facilitates play-based and other age-appropriate modalities, coordinates care with case managers and other providers, and participates in interdisciplinary team meetings. The role involves maintaining accurate clinical documentation, monitoring progress toward goals, and ensuring services align with organizational policies and licensing requirements. The therapist also engages caregivers in treatment, provides psychoeducation, and may participate in outreach or collaboration with schools, community agencies, and referral sources.Qualifications Strong foundation in Mental Health and Social Work, with experience providing therapeutic services to children and families.Demonstrated skills in Play Therapy and Working With Children, including the use of developmentally appropriate and trauma-informed approaches.Experience with Case Management, including coordination of services, referrals, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or related field; licensure or eligibility for licensure in Arizona preferred.Knowledge of evidence-based practices for child and family therapy and familiarity with trauma-informed care.Ability to build rapport with diverse children and caregivers, with strong communication, empathy, and conflict-resolution skills.Experience working with culturally and socioeconomically diverse populations; bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.Ability to manage a clinical caseload, maintain timely documentation, and adhere to ethical and regulatory standards.
