Chinese Translator cum Executive Assistant

Position: Chinese Translator-cum-Assistant to DGMDepartment: Administration & Executive SupportReports To: Deputy General Manager (Chinese National)Salary: Starting from NPR 40,000/month (Negotiable based on experience, qualifications, and Chinese language proficiency.)Job SummaryThe position is responsible for providing Chinese language interpretation, communication, and administrative support to the DGM. The role will involve assisting the DGM in day-to-day communication, meetings, market visits, supplier coordination, and other official activities.Key Responsibilities- Provide Chinese ↔ English/Nepali interpretation during meetings, discussions, and daily communication.- Communicate directly with the DGM in Mandarin Chinese and assist in conveying instructions to local staff.- Accompany the DGM to markets, shops, suppliers, factories and meetings as required.- Assist with purchasing, price negotiation, product inquiries, and supplier communication.- Translate basic documents, emails, WeChat/WhatsApp messages and other communications.- Assist with transportation, hotels, restaurants, and other day-to-day arrangements.- Provide general administrative and coordination support to the DGM.- Maintain confidentiality of company and management information.- Perform other duties assigned by the DGM.Qualifications & Skills- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification preferred.- Good speaking and listening ability in Mandarin Chinese is essential.- Ability to communicate effectively in English and/or Nepali.- Basic Chinese reading and writing skills preferred.- Good interpersonal and communication skills.- Basic knowledge of MS Office and communication applications.- Previous experience in Chinese translation, interpretation, administration, or working with Chinese nationals is an advantage.- Willingness to travel locally and work flexible hours when required.Key RequirementThe candidate should be confident in communicating directly with a Chinese-speaking DGM, providing real-time interpretation and assisting with practical day-to-day communication both inside and outside the office.
