CICC is also expanding international headquarters to strengthen on-the-ground connectivity between public and private sector institutions.Role Description The CICC Education Board Member is a volunteer, remote role responsible for shaping and overseeing the organization’s educational vision and programs. In this position, the board member collaborates with other directors to design and review educational initiatives, including training, workshops, and knowledge-sharing activities that support CICC’s goals in international trade and investment. The role involves participating in board meetings, contributing to strategic planning for educational projects, and providing guidance on curriculum, content quality, and partnerships with educational and professional institutions. The board member may engage with international stakeholders, support the development of educational resources for members, and help ensure that programs are inclusive, relevant, and aligned with global best practices. Additionally, the role includes monitoring the impact of educational initiatives and recommending improvements based on participant feedback and emerging global trends.Qualifications Background in education, training, or professional development, with experience designing or overseeing learning programs, curricula, or workshops.Knowledge of international business, trade, economic development, or investment, ideally with experience working across borders or with multinational stakeholders.Strong strategic thinking and governance skills, including experience serving on boards, advisory panels, or leadership committees.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in remote, multicultural, and cross-functional teams.Demonstrated ability to build partnerships with academic institutions, professional bodies, or industry organizations to support educational initiatives.Comfort with virtual collaboration tools and digital platforms used for remote meetings, document sharing, and online learning.Commitment to ethical, inclusive, and non-discriminatory practices in education and organizational governance.Advanced degree or equivalent professional experience in education, international relations, business, economics, or a related field is highly beneficial.
