Manager to lead cinema operations, guest experience, team performance, film presentation, facility standards, commercial performance, and day-to-day operational excellence.The ideal candidate will manage the complete cinema operation, ensuring high standards across customer service, auditorium presentation, ticketing, concessions, staffing, safety, maintenance, film scheduling, revenue generation, and compliance.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement cinema operating strategies aligned with business and customer-experience objectives.Manage daily cinema operations across ticketing, admissions, concessions, auditoriums, guest services, and support functions.Ensure cinemas consistently meet company standards for service, cleanliness, presentation, safety, and operational efficiency.Lead, supervise, and develop cinema management and frontline teams.Plan staffing levels, shift schedules, coverage, breaks, and resource allocation based on forecasted demand.Monitor daily attendance, show schedules, peak periods, special events, and operational requirements.Coordinate film schedules, screen allocation, showtimes, capacity utilization, and operational readiness.Work with Film Programming and Distribution teams to optimize screen utilization and customer demand.Monitor ticket sales, occupancy, admissions, average ticket price, and revenue performance.Manage box-office operations, ticketing systems, promotions, refunds, exchanges, and customer transactions.Oversee food and beverage operations, including product availability, service quality, inventory, hygiene, and revenue performance.Develop initiatives to improve concession sales, average transaction value, and customer satisfaction.Monitor auditorium presentation standards including seating, lighting, sound, temperature, cleanliness, and visual quality.Coordinate daily pre-opening and post-closing operational checks.Ensure projection, audio, digital cinema, ticketing, point-of-sale, and other critical systems remain operational.Coordinate with technical and maintenance teams to resolve equipment failures and operational disruptions.Monitor cinema technology performance and escalate technical issues appropriately.Manage relationships with maintenance contractors, technology providers, cleaning companies, security providers, and other suppliers.Monitor supplier performance, service levels, response times, and contract requirements.Maintain high standards of housekeeping and facility presentation across public and operational areas.Ensure restrooms, lobbies, corridors, auditoriums, concessions, entrances, and staff areas meet cleanliness standards.Establish and monitor health, safety, security, fire, emergency, and evacuation procedures.Conduct regular operational and safety inspections.Manage emergency situations including medical incidents, fire alarms, evacuations, equipment failures, crowd-control issues, and other disruptions.Ensure compliance with applicable licensing, entertainment, health, safety, food-service, employment, and operational requirements.Monitor customer feedback, complaints, service failures, and guest-experience trends.Develop service-recovery procedures and resolve escalated customer issues professionally.Ensure VIP guests, corporate clients, premieres, private screenings, and special events receive appropriate support.Coordinate premieres, launches, promotional events, school groups, corporate bookings, private screenings, and other special programs.Work with Marketing and Commercial teams to support campaigns, promotions, loyalty programs, partnerships, and local activations.Support initiatives designed to increase attendance, repeat visits, customer loyalty, and ancillary revenue.Monitor competitor activity, local entertainment trends, customer preferences, and market opportunities.Develop local operational initiatives based on customer and commercial insights.Manage cinema budgets, operating expenses, labor costs, consumables, and controllable costs.Monitor revenue and expense performance against budgets and business plans.Control inventory levels for concessions, cleaning supplies, operational materials, and other consumables.Ensure accurate stock counts, purchasing, receiving, storage, and waste controls.Monitor cash handling, banking, reconciliation, refunds, discounts, and financial controls.Investigate financial discrepancies and implement appropriate corrective actions.Maintain accurate operational records, reports, checklists, schedules, incident logs, and compliance documentation.Analyze operational data and develop management reports covering attendance, revenue, service, staffing, costs, and customer experience.Train, coach, and develop employees in customer service, operational procedures, safety, technology, and cinema standards.Conduct performance reviews and implement development plans for team members.Promote a culture of hospitality, accountability, teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.Identify operational inefficiencies and implement Lean and process-improvement initiatives.Evaluate new cinema technologies, automation, digital customer-service tools, and operational systems.Support cinema openings, refurbishments, relocations, technology upgrades, and major improvement projects.Provide performanceOverall cinema profitabilityIdeal CandidateThe successful candidate should have strong experience in cinema operations, entertainment, hospitality, leisure, retail operations, customer experience, food and beverage, or high-volume venue management, preferably within a cinema, entertainment complex, or multi-site leisure environment.The candidate should demonstrate:Proven experience managing cinema, entertainment, hospitality, or high-volume customer-facing operations.Strong understanding of cinema operations, ticketing, admissions, concessions, and auditorium management.Experience managing frontline and supervisory teams across multiple shifts.Strong customer-service and guest-experience capabilities.Experience managing film schedules, screen utilization, special screenings, or entertainment events is highly desirable.Strong understanding of revenue, occupancy, labor, cost, and profitability drivers.Experience managing budgets, expenses, inventory, cash controls, and financial performance.Strong knowledge of health, safety, security, emergency, and operational compliance requirements.Experience coordinating maintenance, technical support, cleaning, security, and external service providers.Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict-resolution capabilities.Ability to remain calm and effective during high-volume periods and operational emergencies.Strong analytical skills and experience using operational performance data.Familiarity with cinema management, POS, ticketing, scheduling, CRM, workforce-management, and reporting systems.Strong attention to detail and commitment to service quality.Experience planning and delivering special events, premieres, private screenings, or corporate bookings is desirable.Strong commercial awareness and ability to identify revenue and customer-experience opportunities.Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, teams, and operational issues.Experience working with international and distributed teams is highly desirable.Excellent English communication skills; additional languages are an advantage.
