You will not be shooting product flats or making reels with trending audio. You will be making films. Short ones, sometimes. But films.You'll work directly under the Senior Cinematographer. You'll shoot, operate, light, and in some cases edit. You'll be given real creative responsibility — and held to a real creative standard.What You'll Actually DoOperate as a second camera on shootsHandle lighting setups — build them from scratch, not from a templateShoot B-roll that has a point of view, not just coverageEdit selects and rough cuts when neededContribute to concept development — if you have a good idea, say itShow up prepared. Every time.What We're Looking ForThe work first.Your reel needs to show:Controlled, intentional exposure — not just "cinematic"Lighting you built, not lighting you foundAt least one piece of documentary or non-scripted workEvidence you know what a scene is, not just a shotThe profile.You think in sequences, not individual shotsYou're comfortable with silence — on set and in the workYou don't need to be told what good looks like. You already know.You operate camera like you own itYou can take direction without needing it explained twiceTechnical floor (non-negotiable):Proficient on mirrorless (Sony / Nikon preferred)Understands log profiles, exposure for grade, and color science — not just "shoot log"Can light a controlled interior with two to four sources and make it feel realDaVinci Resolve or Premiere — at least one, properlyWhat This Is NotAn internship with a titleA place to build your basicsA stepping stone you coast throughThe right role if you shoot everything and have opinions about nothingCompensationCompetitive.
