Job Description – Civil DraughtsmanIndustry: Building ConstructionProject Type: High-Rise BuildingsMinimum Experience: 5 YearsJob SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and experienced Civil Draughtsman with a strong civil engineering background and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in high-rise building construction projects. The candidate must have excellent technical drawing skills and hands-on experience preparing detailed construction drawings, shop drawings, and as-built drawings in accordance with approved project specifications and site requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare detailed civil, structural, and architectural drawings for high-rise building construction projects using AutoCAD.Develop shop drawings, working drawings, layout plans, sections, elevations, and construction details based on approved design drawings.Prepare and update as-built drawings to accurately reflect actual site conditions and executed works.Review architectural, structural, and civil drawings to identify discrepancies, dimensional errors, and coordination issues.Coordinate with civil engineers, site engineers, architects, consultants, and other project teams to ensure drawings meet construction requirements.Incorporate revisions and modifications based on consultant comments, site instructions, and approved design changes.Ensure drawings are accurate, clear, properly dimensioned, and compliant with project specifications and applicable standards.Assist the engineering team in resolving technical drawing discrepancies and site-related design issues.Maintain proper documentation, drawing registers, revision histories, and records of approved and submitted drawings.Ensure timely preparation and submission of drawings to support project schedules and site progress.Interpret technical specifications, construction details, and engineering instructions to produce accurate drawings.Support site teams by providing updated drawings and necessary technical clarifications during construction.Mandatory RequirementsMinimum 5 years of relevant experience as a Civil Draughtsman.Civil engineering background is mandatory.Proven experience in high-rise building construction projects is essential.Diploma or relevant qualification in Civil Engineering or a related technical field.Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and technical drawing preparation.Practical experience in civil, structural, and architectural construction drawings.Good knowledge of construction methods, building layouts, dimensions, levels, sections, and elevations.Ability to read, interpret, and coordinate engineering drawings and project specifications.Strong attention to detail, accuracy, time management, and coordination skills.Ability to work effectively with engineers, consultants, and site construction teams.Preferred QualificationsPrevious experience working with main contractors on high-rise residential or commercial building projects.Familiarity with UAE construction practices, consultant requirements, and drawing submission procedures.Knowledge of additional drafting or BIM software is an advantage.Important: Candidates must have a civil engineering background and a minimum of 5 years of experience in high-rise building construction. Candidates without relevant high-rise building project experience will not be considered.
