Civil Engineer - 1 Year Contract

Position OverviewStar Services is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to supervise and coordinate civil construction activities duringthe night shift for the STATCOM QURM Project. The role is responsible for safe, timely and quality execution of siteworks in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, method statements, HSE standards and permitrequirements.Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 5–10 years of relevant civil construction experience, preferably on substation projects involving 132kV,220kV, 400kV or similar utility infrastructure.
• TAQA Competency as a Civil Engineer is mandatory.
• Experience in civil works execution, subcontractor coordination, quality control and HSE compliance.
• Familiarity with UAE utility projects and client/consultant coordination is preferred.Key Responsibilities
• Supervise and manage all civil construction activities during the night shift.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, surveyors, QA/QC and HSE teams to ensure safe and timely execution of works.
• Monitor progress against the approved schedule and ensure productivity targets are achieved.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, method statements and permit requirements.
• Coordinate with the day-shift team to ensure continuity of work and a clear handover.
• Report daily progress, issues, resource requirements and site constraints.
• Liaise with EDF/TAQA representatives, consultants and project management as required.
• Ensure quality workmanship and promptly resolve site execution issues.
