With offices in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (headquarters), and Raritan, New Jersey, KEY delivers practical solutions through engineering expertise and project management.Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Civil/Geotechnical Engineer - Project Manager to manage civil and geotechnical engineering tasks and support technically challenging environmental remediation and redevelopment projects.ResponsibilitiesCoordinate project phases such as investigation, evaluation, design, permitting, and construction.Develop technical and cost proposals for prospective and existing clients.Manage budgets and approve project invoices.Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers and scientists and provide feedback to senior management on performance.Contribute to our collaborative team environment.Projects May IncludeGeotechnical investigations, foundation recommendation report preparation, slope stability and embankment analysis, and geohazard assessments.Design solutions using geosynthetic materials (e.g., lining systems, caps/covers, MSE walls).Remediation under CERCLA, RCRA, and state regulatory and Voluntary Action programs.Closure of facilities containing coal combustion residuals.Remediation and redevelopment of Brownfield sites, shale gas recovery and processing facilities, and Industrial and commercial sites.What We're Looking ForBachelor's degree in engineering (civil, environmental, or geotechnical); Master's degree preferred.Minimum of 8 years of relevant geotechnical engineering experience.Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license plus the ability to gain multi-state licensure through reciprocity.Experience with construction oversight/monitoring (e.g., infiltration testing, proof-roll observation, moisture-density testing, sand cone testing, plate load testing).Demonstrated experience with diverse drilling and sampling techniques, in situ testing (e.g., SPT, Vane Shear testing, and infiltration testing), and instrumentation (e.g., piezometers)Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Expertise in standard geotechnical industry software.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.OSHA 40-hour training preferred.Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.Pay: $90,000–$140,000 per year commensurate with experienceBenefits401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offTuition reimbursementVision insuranceWork LocationHybrid remote in Carnegie, PA 15106 (3 days in office, 2 days at home)Why Work at KEY?At KEY, you'll use your skills alongside engineers, geologists, and scientists to solve technically challenging projects and celebrate shared success.
