Civil Inspector - Infrastructure

Job SummaryKhatib & Alami is seeking an experienced Civil Inspector to join our Consultancy Supervision Team in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting and supervising civil and infrastructure works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, and applicable authority requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesInspect and monitor civil and infrastructure works, including roads, pavements, utilities, drainage, and associated structures.Ensure construction activities comply with approved drawings, technical specifications, method statements, and project requirements.Conduct site inspections and verify the quality of materials, workmanship, and construction methods.Review inspection requests (IRs), material inspection requests (MIRs), and relevant quality documentation.Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and project teams to resolve site issues and ensure compliance.Identify non-conformance issues, report deficiencies, and follow up on corrective actions.Maintain daily site inspection reports and accurate project documentation.Monitor health, safety, and environmental compliance during construction activities.Assist the Senior Engineer in monitoring construction progress and ensuring timely completion of works.Qualifications and ExperienceDiploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.Minimum 8 years of overall experience in civil engineering inspection and construction supervision.Relevant experience in UAE infrastructure projects is preferred.Experience in roads, utilities, drainage, pavements, and other infrastructure works.Previous experience working with engineering consultancy firms is preferred.Familiarity with approved construction drawings, inspection procedures, quality standards, and relevant Dubai authority requirements.Good communication, coordination, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
