In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring construction projects meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance. As a Civil Inspector, you will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections of construction sites, verifying adherence to specifications and contract documents, and maintaining comprehensive documentation throughout the project lifecycle. Your meticulous attention to detail and collaborative approach will help us deliver exceptional results while maintaining transparent communication with all stakeholders.Inspect site conditions prior to construction commencement to verify compatibility with designed permanent works and identify any obstructions or potential conflictsPhotograph, document, and record the condition of existing properties, utilities, and structures that may be affected by construction activitiesEnsure that existing structures, properties, utilities, and landscaping are adequately protected throughout the construction periodReview materials, equipment, and products delivered to site for compliance with approved submittals, samples, and specifications; report any non-conformance promptlyVerify that all materials are properly handled, stored, and protected in accordance with specifications and manufacturer recommendationsInspect temporary and permanent works to ensure construction is carried out in compliance with Contract Documents, approved shop drawings, and technical submittalsPrepare and maintain daily site logs, inspection reports, test records, and comprehensive documentation of work executed in accordance with Contract Administration ProceduresMonitor site safety practices and construction progress; report any safety concerns or deviations to appropriate parties in a timely mannerAssist in the inspection of completed works and preparation of punch lists for final handoverMonitor and support start-up, testing, commissioning, and handover activitiesAnalyze construction progress against project schedules and specifications to ensure efficient project deliveryCollaborate with project managers, contractors, and design teams to resolve construction-related issues and maintain project momentumPerform additional duties as assigned by the Project Manager in support of project objectivesQualificationsDiploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related fieldMinimum of eight (8) years of professional experience in civil construction inspection, preferably within building projects and consultant-led environmentsComprehensive knowledge of construction standards, codes, and specifications, including Saudi Arabian construction regulations and standardsDemonstrated ability to read, interpret, and analyze drawings, specifications, method statements, and technical documentsStrong reporting and communication skills with the ability to document findings clearly and conciselyProficiency in preparing detailed inspection reports and maintaining organized site documentationSolid understanding of construction inspection methodologies and contract administration proceduresCompetency in material compliance verification and quality assurance processesExperience inspecting both temporary and permanent construction worksExcellent problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking skillsStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficientlyAbility to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary teamComputer literacy with proficiency in report generation software and documentation systemsPhysical capability to conduct regular site inspections and assessmentsAttention to detail with a commitment to transparency and adherence to safety standardsFlexible and resilient approach to managing dynamic construction environments
